I rather have some system that prevents cheating, then kiliing accounts after they do damage. Also would be nice if Gajin gifted people who were being affected by cheaters. anyway cant hate on this but I think it can be much better.
The only thing I’d be worried about with that is it also getting abused like they did with the GE rewards for new players. In theory, it would be nice but historically in WT, it hasn’t gone well.
Yea, that was that 52 player accounts portion of the banlist. There’d be some others too somewhere in that list.
When do we get support for hardware keys? You always say activate 2fa but then not support the most secure version of it…

etc and all of them will end in the inbox of [email protected] while creating different accounts.
Thats because when sending mails any numbers behind a + get purged before routing it

IP bans do nothing, if not static you can literally restart router to get new one and banning whole CIDR range could potentially ban other innocent players

In random battles? Any TK is TK, no one care if you TK your friend, brother or random person.
All goes into your account and you will be punished for TKs.

This does raise a question for me. What if the TK happens after the match is over? Like the tickets are down to 0 and the awards are being shown?

Agreed or worse, i had local ISP that served our entire neighborhood with the same ip behind nat. Some asshole got the IP banned on my favorite wow server at the time. Took a long time to resolve it with the support team there.
Really ip bans do nothing at best or worst affect innocent people, HW bans are the only way, but even those can be worked around… but at least the impact on bystanders is minimal.

Totally agree, I wish the gaming industry would work together in this case. And a hardware ban in one online game, bans the cheater in every other game too…
still rampant cheaters every single game. do more
