no I believe I would have to contact support to do what a button does on other platforms
Maybe not in your world, other people keep drawing the line further
As someone who prides themselves on reporting players who break chat rules, can we please have the transparency on how many accounts are banned due to breaking chat rules?
It is great having the messages that we are making the community a better place, but we aren’t able to see outside of that if helping it be family friendly 12+ is actually working. Or if people are just getting temporary chat bans and they continue to break the rules after they gain it back.
(I have personally witnessed people announce they got chat banned until recently and then went on to use racial slurs, 18+ language or sexual language which required myself and others to report them again).
IP bans are kind of useless though, Its not hard to get around them.
Hardware bans are a bit better, Since to get around those either requires messing with component firmware or swapping parts out which is quite expensive.

However i propose mailing a box of 10,000 angry wasps to every cheater as a real deterrent.

You don’t need to bind the email, if you use your MS account (For your user account) on the PC you’re wanting to game on, all you need to do is install War Thunder through the MS Store…
It just validates for the game through that, just like the way steam users don’t need to use their credentials.
I’m liking the permanents becoming more widespread.
For Xbox players you should have a Hotmail or Outlook address that’s used for your War Thunder account. Your account is just your Microsoft account so put your 2fa on that, and use Microsoft’s authenticator app, that can be used for simple logins.
ah yes time to see the names people come up with
I think i know exactly who will be in that group
who?
dont think im allowed to say, but they have been called out for abusing the dead console only servers to cheese RP with others on this forum many times
I see
I rather have some system that prevents cheating, then kiliing accounts after they do damage. Also would be nice if Gajin gifted people who were being affected by cheaters. anyway cant hate on this but I think it can be much better.
The only thing I’d be worried about with that is it also getting abused like they did with the GE rewards for new players. In theory, it would be nice but historically in WT, it hasn’t gone well.
Yea, that was that 52 player accounts portion of the banlist. There’d be some others too somewhere in that list.
When do we get support for hardware keys? You always say activate 2fa but then not support the most secure version of it…
I work in IT and funny thing about emails:
You can put in:
etc and all of them will end in the inbox of [email protected] while creating different accounts.
Thats because when sending mails any numbers behind a + get purged before routing it
