[Fair Play] Fair Play: October 2025

Our team is working tirelessly to ensure than the game rules are being followed and that cheaters don’t stay in War Thunder. You can help us with this! Find out how to file a report and how our anti-cheat system works on our Wiki.

Banned accounts

Since our last fair play, we’ve banned 3520 accounts that were found to have violated the rules. Specifically 3.2.3 of the EULA namely in the automation of gameplay (using bots) and cheat software. For complete transparency, we’re publishing the full list of these banned players. This list will be available for two weeks after the publication of this article.

Additionally, 287 accounts have been banned for a week or longer for intentional teamkilling, ramming and griefing.

Recommendations

We recommend that you set a strong password for your account and enable two-step authentication in your profile security settings. We have the following 2FA options available: email, SMS, TOTP (Gaijin Pass/Google Authenticator), and Telegram bot, which we suggest trying if SMS 2FA messages are not reaching you.

We’d also suggest that you turn on 2FA for the email that is linked to your Gaijin account for additional security, as this will protect your account from fraudsters. And remember, don’t use prohibited client modifications and never share your account information with anyone.

Will there be a specific WT user on this list any time soon? Someone that may be related to a specific type of aquatic creature that have the name Hammerhead, Great White, and Tiger in their names?

Yoink

Given how gaijin handle things, the best we can expect is another non answer answer just like the thai vt4. That is if we get a answer at all

Expecting an explanation about the whole StatShark fiasco. How can someone type in chat on someone else’s behalf? How insecure are your servers?

I don’t expect much from the Sharks team — they’ve proven unreliable at best. However, Gaijin needs to explain how someone is able to alter chats and perform other actions like this. Where does it end, and what exactly can this person do? How did they even manage to do it? This is a serious security concern.

If this was done through the API, then API access should be restricted. If not, then there’s a vulnerability in the code that needs immediate attention.

The individual from the Sharks team is known for creating, publishing, and selling cheats, yet now they seem to have unrestricted access and are using it to impersonate others and spread homophobia and other harmful content. Creating software is one thing — but impersonating and targeting players for malicious purposes is entirely unacceptable.

never thought i’d see Tanya von Degurechaff in the war thunder forums

Who?

Folks in the Chinese community are saying the recent ban wave wasn’t tough enough. So crank it up a notch, Gaijin!

Got bored, here’s some stats from these bans. Hope I’m not abusing the transparency too much.

I skipped about 100 players from the list because their names didn’t work with how I was scraping. Maybe I can add them in later.

Registration Year

Lots of bots I guess.

Player Level

The newest level 100 player registered late June 2025. They got to level 100 playing 1300 air rb and 2900 ground rb matches. A couple players registered around the beginning of September and got to levels 60+ playing mostly air and ground rb.

Total Battles

KDR and Winrates

Looks like gaijin is pretty quick to catch the greedier low level exploiters.

Vehicle Research

One player had over 1400 vehicles researched. They registered in 2017 and play ground and air rb.

The nation focus chart shows the vehicle research gaps between the top two researched nations per player. Only handful of banned players focus one nation.

Previous Fair Plays

The composition of bans for the past few months have been pretty similar.
