[Fair Play] Fair Play: July 2025

We are continuing to take action against cheaters and rule breakers in War Thunder. Our tools, plus your valuable reports, help us detect these accounts, so please keep reporting any suspects. Thank you to those have reported so far! You can use the battle replay function on our website to report players who you suspect have violated the game’s Terms of Service and the License Agreement. Instructions on how to do this can be found here.

Banned accounts

Since our last fair play, we’ve banned 4679 accounts that were found to have violated the rules. Specifically 3.2.3 of the EULA namely in the automation of gameplay (using bots) and cheat software. For complete transparency, we’re publishing the full list of these banned players. This list will be available for two weeks after the publication of this article.

Additionally, 469 accounts have been banned for a week or longer for intentional teamkilling, ramming and griefing.

Recommendations

We recommend that you set a strong password for your account and enable two-step authentication in your profile security settings. We have the following 2FA options available: email, SMS, TOTP (Gaijin Pass/Google Authenticator), and Telegram bot, which we suggest trying if SMS 2FA messages are not reaching you.

We’d also suggest that you turn on 2FA for the email that is linked to your Gaijin account for additional security, as this will protect your account from fraudsters. And remember, don’t use prohibited client modifications and never share your account information with anyone.

I hope ban waves become a weekly thing I faced a lot of players using unfair system mostly at top tier with random numbers and random names!

I wonder if Gajin will make their own anti cheat one day?!

hmm, 4k? seems that the list is still missing something like couple tens of thousand names … and probably way, way more

how about the accounts bailing from battles (mostly ground RB) again and again and again without ever spawning even once to exploit <self-censored, insert something unbelievably stupid Gaijin does to encourage this>?

You have accounts that have joined tens of thousands (some over 100k+) battles and yet spawned in those 100k+ battles less than 20k times, meaning they’ve done this 80k+ times, over several years, with complete impunity. Accounts that across those 100k-ish games have average mission score of around 150 and relative position in team in 5-10% range. Accounts that (looking at their replay list) are joining 30-ish battles in less than an hour and keep doing this #### for hours/days without pause.

Seriously, this is the by far dumbest, laziest, most obvious and easiest to detect stuff … and yet for a company that has unhealthy obsession with statistics Gaijin for some completely “mysterious” reason somehow manages to ignore something that absolutely must stick out like a sore thumb from even the most lazy data analysis … any explanation for that?

i’ve caught dozens of hackers and they all had huge amounts of premium vehicles, checked on them regularly and GMs always took months before banning them (if at all) despite reporting with precise replay timestamps
pretty obvious what’s going on here

They should do what other multiplayer games do and give and exponentially increasing matchmaking cooldown (not just crew lock) for each match they immediately leave in.
I.E. you leave 2 in a row? 5min cooldown.
3? now its 10min 4? 30min 5? 2hrs etc…
