I think on the “god mode” achievement that @AurenKarach mentioned that it might be time to rework that battle reward, it seems like an achievement from the original version of the game where it might involve a late series BF-109/Fw-190 fighting a Swordfish, a historically significant match up.
Also adding a “win” condition might help.
3 of them will, not to mention the abuse and TKing that results when you shot down an ENEMY reserve plane.
The “but it’s fun” is the exact same excuse.
And you need a reserve at top tier to do that why? you know arcade, ground and naval exist where you have multiple spawns so you can try to do it without throwing the match for the rest of the team right?
But no it’s all about YOU isn’t it?
brodi, you shouldnt really cry about the people with reserve planes or the ones who are trying to have fun while getting a god mode, lets face it thats the least of the problem, how does for example little timmy (most likely half the team are like that) who just downloaded the game but already bought a Su-30 premium or the F-14D contribute to the team?.. but yes lets punish the people who want to have fun in the game
there is a difference between a guy who brings a reserv planes, then a guy who kills 3-4 teammates… i can understand your argument here, but in reallity its just not the same…
That’s kind of my point, one biplane is an eye roll, a 3 stack of them is an actual issue, adding a win condition would at least stop those groups as only getting the reward if they win would at least keep them down to one at a time so they didn’t seriously affect the outcome of the match.
If my hot and cold taps are leaking, I don’t ignore one because the other is also an issue. I fix them both.
Look the odd biplane is one thing, the frequent 4 stacks of one “little timmy” as you call them and 3 biplanes is an issue, when they are all sub lvl 20 do you really thing they are trying for “god mode”? or botting to abuse the referral process for GE?
That doesn’t matter in WT. We don’t do historical MM and we have plenty of vehicles at every BR that never saw combat or in some cases never even saw service. We even have, at 5.3, a plane that in reality never managed to fly at all.
This is just a gameplay thing.
Or they wouldn’t care and they’d just meme it anyway.
now i can get your point here, i do agree that the referral abuse is a thing and its bad, and have been an issue for a while, but it can be easily “fixed”, even if its not the best fix for, they can just look at account lvl for example… its obvious that a lvl 100 reserv or a lower br plane in higher tiers are going for god mode… and they can impact a game, i have seen a bf109 kill a su-30 and ofc it wasnt done by a lvl 20
but a lvl 1 with a biplane is either a bot or just brought to top tier just because why not, like yknow, friends mess with each other…
There was a prompt brought in for tanks if the squad was spread out in BR so much, you’d have to wonder if it needs to be brought into the other modes as well.
I’m not implying they are trying to get “god mode” for the referral system, I am saying they are not trying to get “god mode”, they are rather bots trying to grind levels for the GE rewards.
I mean how many sub-lvl 20s even know “god mode” exists, let alone organize coordinated groups to get it?
Yes, that’s my point, its a legacy of when the whole game was only WW2 planes or at least WW2 vehicles. The game has out grown the award.
yeah, but I do not think I have ever seen that despite seeing a lot of reserve planes at high tier, it’s ALWAYS extremely low account level players in both the high BR premium and the reserve biplanes.
Sure, that’s not what I see in matches ever though.
thats is true, not a lot of people know about it, but it can happen, especially if the player is truly qued up with friends who are lvl 75+ they can teach newer players about god mode and can try to get one, but its a rare thing…
yeah then if thats the case then its easier to report the accounts for botting… especially if the names are just numbers or random characters and just pray they ban them at the fair play…
but at least if you see them even if at rare times, you can at least think about that they are trying to have fun/trying to get god mode, even if it seems unlikely, basically “innocent until proven guilty” type stuff…but if multiple people are qued up together and all of them are higher lvl player then its more likely they are just goofing around and trying to get god mode
I wont pretend I have checked every single one. Especially if they where on the enemy team and I couldn’t see who was in what easily.
Proposed comprimise:
limit the number of ultra low BR planes that can que in a squad at once to 1 to both limit impact on the team and the abuse of the referral system through botting.
Require at least 1 plane at a BR bracket to que for it, ie: you can que for 13.7 in a reserve IF you have a 13.7 plane unlocked.
Restrict bringing ultra low level players into a match by low lvl. Premium players, this could either be a restriction on account lvl or better based of their max BR TT vehicle.
This would allow players to still do “god mode” etc while minimizing the effects on the rest of the team.
now that is a great idea, and i can fully support that, and would be a welcome change!
and as a side note its weird to see a normal “argument”, and not just throwing insults/shaming the other (i have seen plenty of people getting personal over slight dissagreements so this was honestly a welcome change)
I appreciate it as well, “resolutions are breed from confrontation” but that requires the confrontation staying focused on the issue rather then devolving into petty insults.
