It would most likely end up at 12.7 (new decompressed BR) along side the EJ Kai if it was given Aim9Ls.
F-4J(UK) change BR to 11.7 (Air AB) and 12.0 (Air RB & Air SB) and add AIM-9L

Yeah but one the EJ Kai is unfairly uptiered which you can see plenty of people whining about but on top of that it has worse Radar missiles worse RWR and worse gun and on top less countermeasures so 12.3 is fair even with the changes
The only other 12.3 Phantom will be the Kurnass 2000 with only all-aspect IRs, why would a Phantom with all -aspect IRs AND SARHs be in the same BR bracket? The additional SARHs (over the Kurnass 2000) make it a combination that deserves to be higher.
Surely that isn’t a serious question? The kurnass gets the best ir missiles before irccm and 6 of them, it gets a comparable but better radar and just like the ej kai the base stats are superior it is also an agile eagle while the uk is not, it gets more countermeasures better rwr and internal gun and on top of that look at the payloads it can carry it,
It’s an entire one man army! 260 flares 6 pythons enough rockets for 2 bases and if you are into it even an gun pod ALL IN ONE PRESET!!
And even multiple CAS Options for ground from guided munitions to missiles
Only thing keeping that at the same br IS the lack of SARH missiles
The EJ Kai does not deserve the change but the kurnass certainly does
If the Kurnass deserves its spot, then the EJ Kai does as well. All-aspect IR + SARH missiles push it up that high. It has the best SARH missiles that F-4s (and effectively the best Aim7 because the F and M perform identically in game) can have along with a pulse doppler radar and all-aspect IRs.
Those Pythons are cool and all, but if you get slammed by an R-24 or R-27 beyond the range of those IR missiles they don’t really matter. Especially with the multipathing lowered.
Yeah completely also the F and M sparrows in game literally have the same stats in the files Gaijin doesn’t like adding niche improvements and personally the multipathing change hasn’t impacted me much at all apart from the rare phoenix or aimraam ignoring the laws of physics
The fact that I paid $70 for this piece of garbage is unreal. I wish we could refund or at least get a warning of how horribly this thing will be balanced. Thanks for make my overall experience absolutely horrible Gaijin. 10/10
It’s not THAT bad. It’s just not THAT good either. I pre-bought it and was very happy with my purchase, as at the time I badly wanted a phantom and it was the only one I was willing to buy. The Skyflash isn’t a great missile, and I find it often just doesn’t hit for whatever reason, but I love the AIM-9Gs as they are very solid missiles against unaware aircraft. The only thing I dislike about this is the lower flare count compared to the other models such as E/K/M.
