I wouldn’t really say it’s one of the best aircraft, but it’s more like between mid and good. If it could get the AIM-7P, it would be at 13.0…
Nah, it look too good to be at 12.7 because the lobby only got bunch of level 10 wallet warriors that dosen’t know how to play. If you put it in a lobby with players that actually know how to play the outcome will be different and don’t except gaijin is gonna be that nice keeping it down tier every match.

F-15A/J shouldnt have never been moved down to 12.7, and F-2A ADTW solves effectviely the single biggest issue the early F-15s have - shitty radar - at cost of being ever so slightly slower to accelerate and having lower max speed, while having same missile kit and being absolute beast in turning deparment.
The F-2 continues the Japanese tradition of struggling to make it to the fight before both teams annihilate each other, but being a complete monster if there is anybody still alive to shoot at when they make it there.

never had issue with that either tbf. at 8km I can comfortably reach around mach 1.4 ish? and whats more important, keep that speed in turns.

I think I’ve been staying too low recently which is costing me speed and positioning (I think I’ve picked up a bad habit of carpet burning from the 1st nuclear thunder event), that and just a bad run of teams that don’t understand
this part, I’ve been getting matches where both teams seem to be using 1700s’ infantry tactics, forming ranks and volley firing ARHs at each other until one of them is gone.
But the main point is that none of that makes the F-2 bad, it just has some quirks I need re-learn how to play around.
So by that logic, the JAS39A M4K should also go down?

as with any plane. I bought F-2, played few games, then spaded F-16 ADF and went back to F-2. Had to unlearn how to play it like it had ARHs…

Probably yeah, I’ve seen them keep getting abused in a full uptier and it own BR.
Same thing happened to me when i unclocked the Mig-29KR, due to bein used to large amount of countermeasures on other top tier planes i had to go back and relearn the notching in order use my 64 lcm effectively on my 29KR.
Tbh relearning things you already did is actually good, makes you getting into shape faster.
M4K maybe, but definitely not the JAS39A. Plus, you could say that for any jet that isn’t 14.7, all jets suffer in an uptier, so bringing down the F2A or the M4k won’t help and will make lower BR suffer.
