What am I missing here? how is it not bug if I cannot use Sparrows that I had researched prior to this update?
Error on the tech mods fault, he incorrectly believes the Aim-7 modification was newly added. However I believe this issue was already reported

I saw it with russian bug report, I translated it with google and the guy got basically the same answer. that its not a bug because its a new mod. So im not sure if anybody in Gajin actually knows what they are doing

This is a bug, play one short match and it should fix itself from what i’ve seen others post.

Came here to write the same thing. Already had AIM-7 researched. So this is going to be fixed, right?
I played few games, even restarted the game and the situation is still the same. tho I didnt play with the F16 so maybe thats what fixes it for other people
