yes, and so how is it different to the AN/APG-66(V)5 in game?, also it should probably have the -68(V)10 as per this source (Ctrl+F “Block 50”)
I wasn’t talking about its Air to Air ordnance. Considering we get ahistorical Sparrows we may well get stuff like the AN/AAQ-33 TGP, AGR-20, AGM-65G, various JDAM’s , AGM-154, AGM-158, etc.
You do realize you’re basically asking one of the most modern radar right?
V7 is better in detection and lock-on range compare to V-5.
İ believe current loadout is more then enough for ground Rb, im currently using 8 Gbu-12’s in my Barak-2 and its more then enough to change the direction of battle if you know what you’re doing.
Also let me remind you that you’re fighting against export version of SMT so let me ask, why Russia using a export variant of Mig29 instead of domestic version of SMT or Mig29M in this case?
You guys compeletly ignoring other side’s problems while only focusing on yours.
So why add one of the most modern F-16’s if they aren’t going to actually model any of it’s actual capabilities that would make it distinct from earlier blocks?
If they wanted AMRAAM capability they already had the F-16ADF, and if they wanted to be historically accurate they could have gone for an earlier Block (-25 or -30/32), if the HMD was an issue they could handwave it like they have with the Yak-141’s IRST / CM since there are sources that point to it being investigated at one point or another.
If Strike capability was the issue why not add a Tech tree A-6E or F-111F, F/A-18A, etc.? Let alone one of the numerous unique options available the last thing the US needed was yet more multirole Fighters that don’t even bring anything interesting to the table. It would be nice to actually see well thought out additions to the tree that didn’t see them get the get arbitrarily kneecaped in terms of ordnance to make them suitable for addition considering that they likely wont be revised after a point, just look at what the US F-4E is missing.
The same reason the F-16C-50 has Sparrows not AMRAAMs so is actually an export configuration.
Most of the issues surrounding the SMT are because of weirdly implemented / revised mechanics so will likely be fixed due to being bug reported, while many of the F-16C’s issues are directly related to how it has been implemented and the subsequent balancing decisions.
Have you ever considered that maybe Gaijin is almost done with getting prepare for Fox-3 Era and addition of Block-50 plus SMT will only make their job easier instead of adding multiple Fox-3 planes at the same time.
The reason you’re complaining is the same reason why Mirage2k didnt recieved its MICA missiles or why Tornado F-3 didnt recieved its amraams or why Barak-2 didnt recieved Python-4+Derby missiles but i dont see you complaining about them.
İncreased Ground strike capability its just window for better armament that will come in future, just like ARH missiles, yet you also ignoring this part.
You need to realize your precious F-16 isnt the only plane that missing its capabilites.
And it will make the Later jump between the F-15C to F-15E or F/A-18F / F-22 / F-35 much much more apparent since there is now a missing link in the chain since it has already been used and will be pigionholed at its current BR, again the same way the F-4E has been.
Why would I, I don’t play the trees other than the US and British since they would be a significant RP slog (due to being a F2P) and not be all too interesting since for the most part they are just remixed export vehicles or minor modifications of US designs for a significant portion of their trees. so they aren’t really a novel experience.
and they already have their champions on the forums, though i will help with things if i happen across something relevant to a discussion or bug report.
Because I have seen how things are retroactively added to existing vehicles, and they have yet to be added to all appropriate airframes. just look at the AGR-20’s implementation and the suspiciously absent M247 warhead.
And yet it is unique being such a modern variant with practically nothing to show for it.
So Eurofighter Typhoon,Rafale,Gripen,Sukhoi,J-10 are not unique huh? Cool story.
Who said Gaijin will not fill those gaps? They filled similiar gaps in the past so why would they stop now?
İ would like to keep this conversation if you can give me some valuable arguments rather then complaining about why your precious F-16 doesnt get special treatment, otherwise lets end it right now cause its getting nowhere.
Instead of removal, i would put teams of 16 players , to be spread out 50/50 automimatically on 2 differents airfields (per teams), located in map corners on EC maps,
and this will allow players to spread out much more and do not encounter a full swarm of ennemies, and have more tactical gameplay.
I’d take Tornado Gr4. 2x ASRAAM and 12x Brimstone would be great fun to keep me entertained till Typhoon.
But I’d take EF Typhoon DA2 with restricted weapons (like Aim-9Ls instead of Aim-9M or ASRAAM) and pre-production engines and radar that were a lot weaker
Sea Harrier FA2 modelled correctly (maybe even with AMRAAM before other nations, or maybe Aim-120C vs Aim-120B for other nations)
Harrier Gr9A has some fairly decent loadout options and would be better in A2A combat than the Gr7 (due to better engine and HMD)
Tornado F3 CSP with Aim-9M and AMRAAM (I’d add a seperate F3 for better player choice) (also maybe with Aim-120C over B for an advantage)
Dare I say this, there are a few commonwealth options available like Gripen or F-18, but those would suck to have
I think britains main hope is AAM advantage on a weaker airframe, like ASRAAM or Strong airframe like early early typhoon, but with weaker AAMs (maybe even SARH isntead of ARH as well)
But I was thinking maybe they need to jump all nations ahead
Typhoon, F-15, J-10, Su-27/Su-30, Gripen, Mirage 4000 in the same update. Would put everyone on even footing again. Adding peacemeal will always leave a nation behind and thats almost always Britain. There are a lot of options available for Britain. They just take effort
Its sub-sonic and ultimately a 10.7 airframe. It does have the better engine and an amazing radar, but isnt going to hold its on own in a protracted dogfight. Its also got a really limited loadout. 4x IR and 2x AMRAAM will be standard loadout for most. But no guns with that config and no more CMs than the FRS1. You can swap out a Aim9 for a BOL rail though.
But for me in SB compared to the F3. It will have.
better radar
better cockpit visibility
enough bombs for a base kill
some ability to dogfight
I was hoping it would be first with Aim9M for an advantage, but thats dashed. Instead though it will be a bit like Gr7 but instead being able to turn quite as well it can use radar for off boresight shots with the Aim9M.
I also kinda hope it gets better AMRAAM compared to most now that Aim9M is rolled out, but that is unlikely.
