That the F-16C rates better than the MiG-29A is true, but the difference is not extremely big and the 29A is underperforming compared to charts.
MiG-29A radar (the Rubin not the Zhuk) was developed to be good at tracking (shares most electronics with the Su-27 radar) since it would have ground radars doing the searching for it in real life. In Warthunder we know where enemy planes come from, so we have no trouble sticking the radar in the right direction until it picks up targets.
İn not denying that Mig-29 is massively underperfoming right now in fact i dont even understand why they butchered it while it was fine on the previous uptade.
İm spading my SMT right now and its not a good experience, especially when you get beaten by Barak-2’s.
I don’t get this, the mig29 has higher Trust to weight, better missiles,better Radar, irst,and turns pretty good as well so why do you keep saying the F16 is so much better ?
And you don’t even seam to be talking about the 16c model but more about the a Models

Since I started it has often the goto area to avoid. I am not sure when this changed and thought it still was the case.
Because it doesn’t turn anymore. It rates worse than the MiG-23M (M, not MLD) and is barely better than the MiG-21bis. It has a lot more drag than before as soon as it turns.
Have you ever tried Mig29 with this uptade? Looks like you didnt.
Both 29A and SMT versions got massively nerfed in terms of flight performance which is not accurate. Not to mention new F-16’s models have similiar radar capabilites plus Aim9-M that performs amazing.
And lets not forget how Gaijin buffed F-16’s flight model so hard that it dunks on anything.

Tbh, I still think implamenting supersonic jets and AAM was one of big mistake ever.

It’s easier to go from Prop to the mig21smt/bis than from the mig21smt/bis to a mig29 and mig29smt
They shot down mostly su-22s, not MiGs, and actually in combat MiG-23MLDs were able to prevent Pakistani F-16 from entering Afghanistan most of the time, and there’s debate whether they also killed one or was friendly fire to shot it down. And this were MiG-23s, not 29s
