When will the F14A receive the AIM9L and when will the f14B receive the AIM9M they both used these missiles in real life. Recently both have gotten an increase in battle rating. This is not well shown in the weapons that are usable on the f14.

Did they get a specific BR increase, or an increase because of decompression? Some stayed the same/went down, and the rest all went up proportionately.
If that’s why they went up, i think you have an argument. If not, you don’t really have an argument based on that aspect unless you’re okay with increasing their BR even further, because the only reason their BR increased was to decompress what was below them.

Their increase was not proportional to how decompression worked, they went up more than equivalent aircraft.
As of now there is little reason to use the F-14B as it will now be able to face 14.0s, on that same end, the tech tree F-14A still exists as an inferior version of the Persian tomcat at the same BR, it does nothing better than it currently.

The A Early predates 9Ls (as it is explicitly an early model and lacks the TCS pod), but the B should definitely get 9Ms, as it it the only 13.0 plane without advanced missiles (example: J8F doesn’t get IRCCM missiles, but it carries 2 stock PL12s).

They could carry AIM-9Ls before getting TCS upgrades.
US Navy tested limas with F-14A in 1977 and, they used it against Su-22 in 1982.
Also, you can see F-14A that doesnt have TCS carry AIM9Ls in Final Countdown movie.

Don’t worry people, I have an idea, if every F-14 player copy pastes a paragraph on how to not die to AIM54 in chat at the start of every match the F-14 might go down in BR enough to not fight the eurofighter

IMO AIM-9M-8 should comes when we gets D model.
It doesn’t mean B models shouldn’t gets mikes but, it shouold be early model which we currently have in the game.
Same goes with AIM-7P or MH.
As for AIM-7Ms, a inverse monopulse seeker needs to be modeled as soon as possible because late SARH missiles could ignore multi pathing in real life.
That would make them too OP. notching a plane radar (which is way harder than just a ARH) while not being able to use multipathing is way to op for such long range missiles
It is not only AIM-7M would gets buffed.
As far as I know, Skyflashes, R-24s, R-27s also had inverse monopulse seekers.
+1. Good luck though. German mains asked for years for the F-4F to get AIM-9Ls that it historically carried, to help compensate for the lack of any radar guided missile. Was denied for balance reasons. Had to wait for the DOA ICE, which in turn will probably never get it’s IRIS-Ts when they inevitably come.

everyone hugs the deck for another much scarier reason (ARHs) please don’t start asking for a change that will make nowhere even remotely safe
