F-14D at 13.0 is one of the best 13.0s in the game.

The only thing stoping the f14D from having aim120 is the fact that it not a prototype vehicle because supposedly only prototype vehicles can get tested armaments
already stated the 14D did not use 120 the only one that did was a 14A test platform
Shouldn’t matter the f14D was more capable of using aim120 than the f14A-65-gr is
this makes 0 sense. one was tested and fired and one was thought of but the software upgrade never happened
Its missile kit is competitive/meta for 13.0 with that airframe.
The f14D has everything that it needs to use aim120 and that even confirmed with other stuff it can use but a sowftware update to the radar the f14A-65 all we know is that it carried it and launched it but we don’t know if it could guide with the awg9 or if it had the apg71 or even the awg15H upgrade plus it was just a test plane in general to prove the f14 airframe can use aim120 and the navy never planned on arming f14A/B with aim120 only D since they had the upgrades that supports it
