Haha woah now bro, lets keep in mind I am a sim only player and the F-14B can absolutely hold itself up at 12.7 and kick ass doing so. To say it is not even 12.3 material is quite ignorant. While the 9L’s are not bad at all they can still be one flared by an aware player but not the 9M… So basically all I see is that the F-14B can’t get the 9M’s because itd kick too much ass 😂🤣. Also to say it is a worse F-15A is not true at all, thry are very different aircraft and the F-14B can strongly dogfight an F-16A and that is one hell of a tough fight. Concluding there is no point the F-14B doesn’t get 9M’s but oh well im still destroying with it, I will not whine but do not disrespect it Lol.
How can the F-14B ‘strongly dogfight’ the F-16? It doesn’t have as much nose authority (though its nose authority is still good) and it doesn’t rate as well. It’s also a much bigger target.
Receiving Aim-9M would be a buff in sim as the F-14B never gets downtiered anyway, but in RB putting it up to 12.3 essentially means that you have a slower F-15A that accelerates worse and doesn’t have as strong of an initial turn. BOL flares have been nerfed and that affected the F-14 too.
Hmm, it’s almost like the F-14B airframe is not as good as the F-15 airframe in RB. Funny, that.
The F-14 can strongly dogfight the F-16 because an actually skilled player that manually sweeps their wings out and stays in corner speed will 90% of the time beat an F-16 because its mostly always flown by quite bad pilots and even then against a skilled pilot there will be inevitable gun kill windows the F-14 will get no matter what, and also it turns like a knife spinning vertically in the air when properly flown so it’s an extremely deadly dogfighter when flown by the right pilot.

F-14B is one of the best 12.0s in the game, it doesn’t need to be increased in BR.
F-14B and F-15 have similar flight performance, F-15 primarily just accelerates faster.
If you do this after the slats changes to the F-14s you are going to dump all your speed in the one turn my guy.
Yeah you can make a single turn that will out rate a F-16, but you are going to be sub 200 knots by the end of that turn, so good luck actually fighting after that.
What is the slat changes? Enlighten me please. And you can outrate an F-16 way above 200 kts, u already lost the fight if ur below the corner speed so im going to disregard the last part of your reply.
This one, which has caused the slats on both F-14s to deploy automatically while swept, this leads to higher instantaneous AOA, enough to rip your wings off at a lot more speeds, but also way WAY more drag when doing so, even when you aren’t pulling loads of AOA.

It does make some sense as on the 14s the automatic system is preferrable to manual control because it prevents you from jamming the slats, however, the issue arises that gaijin has the slats deploying when the wings are really swept which is not at all how that is meant to work.
The slats are supposed to stay in above something like 15 degrees of wing sweep, but now they deploy at almost full wing sweep which, as stated, gives you more AOA but it causes a lot of other issues to boot.
Np my dude, the change itself has driven me a bit mad as of late as I’m wing snapping myself by accident in maneuvers I used to be able to do without issue.

There is still a lockout based on the wing sweep angle & Mach number.
The actual lockout angle depends on the specific group of Slats, Flaps, Spoilers or Vanes in question as they activate sequentially. And a manual toggle / override is actuated, using the DLC thumbwheel on the Stick.
Do people even use auto wings? Ever since I goty first swing wing Mig-23 years ago I’ve always used manual wing control
