The F14 airframe can very easily fight a Mig-29SMT and especially an Su-27SM since its such a garbage plane and fighting an M2K whos carrying a full load isnt an issue the things practically a brick if you’re going slightly too fast, in the F14 you shouldn’t be trying to get in close unless you have to you should be staying 15km away minimum till you use up the F90s

no its just a genuinely factual statement based on the current ARH slinging Meta the missile with the most DeltaV speed and range is better you certainly wouldn’t call the R-77 better than the AMRAAM just because it pulls slightly more despite the fact it has nearly 14% less range and far worse drag
What are you supposed to do if someone rushes you? Turn around and run? That doesn’t sound like a very solid plan with the F-14As engines.

The meta is a toss up, it’s mostly agreed that the F-15C/J(M) is the meta vehicle because of their powerful missiles and radar, as well as being able to stand on its engines to bleed missiles. You could say the meta is who has the longer stick range wise, or you could say the meta is who has the best kit for 10km ARH snapshots and then going instantly defensive. The meta is decided on personal biases and experiences, that’s why I said we should agree to disagree rather than squabbling.
It’s at a crappy BR where it gets full uptiers 90% of the time against planes it’s helpless against, but the 10% of the time it gets downtiered it faces premium noobs that have no idea what they’re doing, and just artificially buff the F-14’s stats.
The engines are perfectly fine and besides you have a wide scan radar with TWS you’re going to know where everyone is if you get rushed thats on you and besides anyone that tries to climb to go after you is going to be an easy shot for any teammates
It literally shouldn’t be possible to have F90s on you still you use them near the start of the game to kill 50km+ targets all you need to do is guide them in with datalink till 20km till till target when the onboard radar switches on and does the rest after that you use the R-27 to kill close range targets or sedjil if you want to bully people trying to multipath over water
Youve quite literally never used an ARH missile in game you have no experience at toptier nor should you even have an opinion on this topic currently, i imagine you have the M2K-5F go spade it and then come back you will most certainly have a different opinion on the ARH meta afterwards.

I’ve been shot 30km before whilst notching and chaffing, it was still a maximum distance proxy that killed my pilot… I hate saying it, but I think it is just as good as F14B, as the R27 in an engagement is so annoying, allows basic headon engagement inside 8km, whilst outspeeding my Aspide casually.
Find next vehicle to talismane before it gets nerfed. Actually I would like to see AIM-54 rebalance coz scoring frags while flying back to runway harms gameplay (like it is not busted already).
