F14A IRAF should stay in 12.3

I doubt they were that aware, all it takes is to turn around and the F90 can’t track anymore. Even a 360 turn while dropping chaff every 2 seconds easily defeats them.

like… every fox 3 ingame?

So you would take 8 F90s on an F-15C?

Also other Fox-3s will not be defeated to easily, especially because they can actually track a cold target…

the fakour is obscenely heavy, note how I said one of the best fox 3s and not THE best. also, they aren’t tracking when you’re cold, they’re running off inertial guidance

Fox-3s track cold targets, they run off IOG when they don’t have a radar signature to track.

You wouldn’t take an F90 over anything except the AIM-54, so it’s the 2nd worse Fox-3.

I still don’t get why you flipped out over me voicing an opinion and calling the F90 a gimmick…

im literally voicing my opinion back and saying why it’s not a gimmick?

No? I replied to that by saying it wasn’t versatile enough for me and you called sparrows a gimmick, which is why we’re here now.

Just for those that do scroll down, to gauge the opinion of those that look at this post:

Should the F-14A IRAF stay at 12.3?

Not able to turn very well???
Watch the first 22 seconds

No, absolutely not…

The FK90 buff is more than enough reason to move the F-14A IRIAF to 12.7BR.

Now, What is needed at the moment is to give AIM-9L, AIM-9M for US F-14A and F-14B respectively and fix current AIM-54s issues.

F-14A vs “5th gen fighters” 💀

Don’t forget the F-4s lmfaoooo

That was the irony from Top Gun 2 movie.

You’d have to have an insane skill issue to call F90s not versatile its quite literally the best ARH in game because of the stupid amount of DeltaV and speed it reaches which means you’ve got far less time to react to it and notch or go cold since its usually still going mach 3+ even after 30km, it even ignores multipathing to an extent because of the massive proxy fuse and warhead.

We went over this, it is nowhere close to the best Fox-3 in game, it’s only gimmick is it has cool range.

nope

Why would you need to hit close ranges like the MICA or R-77 and what do you constitute close range because unlike the Phoenix the F90 will be doing its max AOA only about 5s after launch, ive used every ARH except for the R-77 and Pl-10 and can confidently say the F90 is the best missile for the current META maybe you should try to actually use the F90 i see you have the F14A go play it

Because they’re close to you?

sub 7km for ARHs

I suppose we can agree to disagree

The F14 airframe can very easily fight a Mig-29SMT and especially an Su-27SM since its such a garbage plane and fighting an M2K whos carrying a full load isnt an issue the things practically a brick if you’re going slightly too fast, in the F14 you shouldn’t be trying to get in close unless you have to you should be staying 15km away minimum till you use up the F90s

If you’re at 7km with F90s still on your airframe you fucked up somehow

no its just a genuinely factual statement based on the current ARH slinging Meta the missile with the most DeltaV speed and range is better you certainly wouldn’t call the R-77 better than the AMRAAM just because it pulls slightly more despite the fact it has nearly 14% less range and far worse drag
