How are you doing this against more than one opponent at a time or while going cold/masking behind terrain? The strengths of ARHs are their ability to pressure multiple opponents simultaneously while also being able to go defensive. The 27ER cannot counter that. At most your tying yourself up to threaten one opponent.
J-8F is fine, no comment on the sparrow F-16s since haven’t played them for a while.
But what about the Netz? The bloody thing at 13,0 stopped me to even try it.
(Just how is the Netz excluded from even the air assault game while both F-14s gets to stay though)
The Netz sucks
Play normally. At long range its not that hard to deal with multiple people.
A bit specific but defeating a Phoenix isn’t that hard and I don’t really need to go cold. I could just to be safe but only if I know that my team has my back.
True but a Phoenix is hardly any pressure, you can defeat it at high altitude as well without notching. Again remember they also need to commit to make sure the Phoenix can go pitbull.
MiG-31 will not counter F-14, it will just throw mach 6 missiles with 30 to 60G at people and kill BVR and WVR.
You’re basically asking for top BR to die, completely. It will be even more of a pain to deal with Foxhounds firing 4 Axeheads at people, guided by a great radar; compared to the rock dumb phoenix and caveman F-14 radar. Just because the Foxhound sucks WVR won’t matter, when it can throw 4 guaranteed kills out every sortie and never have to worry about a merge.
The problem is that when the opponent has F14, our team’s formation can be broken up, and our height and energy can be consumed. We can only keep maneuvering or reduce our altitude to avoid it; And the opposing team can climb recklessly and shoot one by one, which is unfair
True, but that’s why I said to do this when you see the F-14 launching the missile, since they usually do this at around 30+km. When you get the pitbull alert, only a proper notch of the missile itself will work.
But then the difference between the two would only be in avionics and engine power, meaning the F-14A would just be a worse B. That means if someone wanted a good tomcat the B would essentially cost 800,000 RP if not foldered. They need to have some difference to make their playstyles different.
Doesn’t matter. this is one of the vehicle where one aspect is so strong that it can’t be directly balanced, so the balance should’ve been done to the other aspect that are unfortunately not good enough to warrant a nerf that doesn’t completely kills it.
Ive played both german and both russian mig’s
Sure the SMT wont, but it has R73 and HMD, the other ones are lighter and the MiG-29G has R73 aswell
It’s not uncommon for planes to be foldered like that and for one plane to be a “lame duck” compared to its better. Why is the F-14A so special that it should be exempt from the same treatment? Why does it deserve to club third gens so hard?
Well heres a common HawkHunt vs Phoenix L.
Tried to notch, didnt work. Tried to dodge, didnt work.
I saw the missile as soon as it came off the rails but the guy guided it in with TWS. I knew I should have gone cold but I wanted to try and defeat it with notching. Well this was the result.
The fact your post portrays R-33S as a “guaranteed kill”, or R-77s in the case of Mig-31BN, is something…
I specifically said I wanted them to be folders, it reduces the grind significantly. If the F-14A got 9Ms it would have to be the same BR as a F-14B with 9Ms because the missile and avionics differences aren’t big enough to justify a higher BR. Thus for it to not be “C+P” they have to have significant differences, such as IRCCM or no IRCCM missiles.
Ok? You can notch or crank but notching is usually more consistent. Why are we arguing about this?
R-33 is Mach 4.5 and 15g, and SARH. Worse than an AIM-54A. You’re thinking of the R-37M.
And the F-14B can bring up to 700 countermeasure in total with the 9Ls
Over the last few weeks, guess how many times I have not been in AIR RB (with a BR 11.3 plane) full uptier along with F-14s? Zero. Fix the fci*g matchmaking or kick the F-14s higher in BR!
Unfortunately, BOLs aren’t as good as you think they are.
These flares are almost useless. Small caliber flares on a plane with 2 hot ass engines.
I don’t know about chaff, I didn’t really notice a difference.
I use BOL %75 as chaff. İt works
You should use the normal countermeasures, standard caliber + 100 BOL as flares, it is more than enough for İR
