I have a flight manual with the latest revision year, which I used to help other bug reporters fix F-101C on the dev server. I am 100% certain that no conventional bombs are being mentioned at all. Only special stores (nuclear bombs) are mentioned, associated with the MA-2 bombing system.
Here is a relevant excerpt from the manual.
You can argue for technical compatibility to allow the F-101C to use the conventional bombs that are known to be mounted on this bomb rack, but that was bug-reported and rejected by the developers.
Possibly he means the general missile changes, but I think they only changed the AIM-54s, AIM-7s and R-27s this update.
I swear some of these people must check under their bed for Russian bias before going to sleep, yes there is undeniably some issues, but some of the things I have seen people invent to justify their bias claims are ridiculous.
and so far the AIM-54 has been buffed and the R-77 has not. And the AIM-54 received far more extensive buffs then the variable motor thrust pressure that is planed for other missiles, which is not a straight buff as it also means it will reduce thrust at lower altitude.
So like I said, people are inventing a R-77 buff that dose not exist in order to complain about it.
If I am wrong and there is a R-77 buff then please link it, because I have been unable to find and would like to see it.
Hey, then that means there’s still a BR gap, where you could put another plane in. I would actually like an Aim-4 only F-101 variant at a lower BR. Go up, have someone stall for you, and when they can’t maneuver, hit em with either type of Aim-4. I did this plenty of times in the F-106.
It would take them 5 minutes to make such a copy paste variant.
