F/A-18D to the US

Incentivising ≠ Forcing
People who are passionate about a unique variant can grind the tree it’s present in, 99% of players are happy with the F-16C which is superior, more iconic and more thematic.

Israel on the other hand is very well known for their usage of twin seater F-16s, ranging from F-16Bs/Ds and should be represented as a unique representation of the F-16 family

The USAF on the other hand has made very limited operational F-16B/D usage, and it fills a very niche opinion to see it in both, which both reduces uniqueness across the game and appealing to a very small niche who even care.

It’s not unique though it’s been used by various nations. The F-16I is a unique variant, not the F-16D.

And it quite literally is forcing people to grind out a nation they otherwise wouldn’t just for 1 thing.

AFAIK on dev stream they said the M1A2T is basically the M1A2, ie. not SEPv3.

Its very much so not, it is a V3 but with the FMS kit installed instead of the NGAP along with some hull modifications from the M1A2K.

This is one of the many mistakes oxy made on stream.

Fun fact as well, it should not have KE-W A2 as the US never sold such to Taiwan and such is directly stated in the DOW release on the transaction attached above.

fair enough

From everything I can find it’s derived from the SEPV2 but includes features from the SEPV3 specifically some of the electronics and FCS. The official suggestion that passed to the Devs also states it’s derived from the SEPV2.

M1A2T Abrams: The ROCA’s Steel Fortress

The important question is: will I get eye cancer when I use thermos on the M1A2T?

Nice, I would direct you to the DOW statement above.

You may note the fact that beyond the FMS package and ammo, everything included is standard to the V3 or the M1A2K which is a M1A1 AIM chassis with V3 upgrades and a turret without the NGAP upgrade just like the T.

The T is a K modified to Taiwanese standards, and the K is a V3 modified off of a M1A1 AIM hull and the FMS armor package.

It is very much so not a V2 in any part of the conversion beyond the fact that the V2 and earlier share earlier make towing mounts.

Hmmmm so if gaijin is modeling it off the suggestion then im assuming the turret is missing protection because SEPV3 FMS is more protected than the standard FMS package.

It’s not “US main that want everything” it’s “players want to play the US for US equipment, not Japan”.

Japan getting the F/A-18D is absolutely fine, helps their TT by giving them a 14.0 aircraft. The issue is making US equipment exclusive to other nations.

its the same plane but heavy, its not needed at all.

other tree still suffer while us main get a new plane every update since 2 years now.
sweden/china/israel/ italy/ russian/germany. (china and japan are good after the next update)

No it’s not needed but it’s there so what’s the harm in adding it to the US at the same time?

What’s the point? Add another plane with old weapons? Don’t you understand? Gaijin has no plans to add new missiles to the US Air Force.

Bold of you to assume gaijin would ever improve the armor of the M1 series of tanks.

Question, What is the difference between the F/A-18D and what the us has

Can I ask what’s the difference between the American C and D?
And for reference, Malaysia only has Ds, so it was the only option.

For God’s sake, the U.S is getting the SUPER HORNET this update, even though last update it also got F-15C Golden Eagle and shortly after having received all of the F/A-18s and F-15E.

Is it really deemed like such a neccessity to ALSO get F/A-18D?

There’s no difference other than some software changes which wouldn’t matter in-game.
