You know what difference between dealing with US CAS vs RU?
Dealing with US is far more easier since you can have altitude advantages over them to make missile more deadly
can’t do that to RU CAS without getting shot at by pantsir.
You still got the Tors and HQs which can fight them off 12-15 km away, just like the Pantsir.
Normal TOR is really something not worry me range still 12 HQ 15 km yes but both of them have slow missile and trigger RWR track and lunch warning
Only few planes trigger pantsir track and lunch (and my Gripen is not one of them) which force jet to go low soon as they spawn or see S1 on rwr
So CAP pilot against RU have less option than other since
They cannot have altitude advantages over them which mean you can’t really use radar to scan threats from high altitude stay there and high missile from higher altitude
They don’t know they lunch or track you unless they have see them with their own eyes
KH-38 can shoot at people soon as they spawn combinations of it speed and IOG make it possible which need to be put down fast or six people gonna be dead

They have the target that can kill six people soon as they spawn that need to be dealt with fast as possible but they can’t have altitude over them and their spaa don’t trigger RWR what is the option?

Air spawn camping them

Maybe so, all I know is I’m usually fighting America, and I’m usually seeing my entire team being eliminated by F-16s and F-15s, so I’m not usually affected by Russia when I’m playing GRB.
I deal with both on daily and that i can tell you
Yes you still need jet to deal with US but they have less threats to worry about when dealing with them and most of the time planes with dog fight capability work wonder against them in GRB since GRB map are smaller getting into dogfight is more often my most CAP kills in GRB came from Gripen C because spawn point is cheep in it very good at dog fight
Only Americans, who have the best missiles in game, could screw up in defending themselves from planes they can literally see.
None of them are even close to Pantsir which dominates Air with 8 missiles which absolutely great.
I do know how to kill them, but they’re not the easiest to kill at all now with the autoloader acting like a spall liner and prevent them from being one shot.
Reload time did not make Swedish tanks the best in the game, it’s armor and it plays a huge role in Top Tier Ground which most nations lack and Russia does not lack armor at all, and it get the second best tanks after the Leopards which they won’t be after the incoming update which means Russia will dominate.
Aim 120 is absolutely not the best fox3 in wvr combat. Aam4, pl12, mica and r77 are all better against planes you can literally see lol

Anybody that dies to an AIM-120 outside of their own ARHs effective range has massive skill issue.
Being able to hit targets at long range is only useful against players that aren’t going to be any use in a match anyway.
Within reliable launch ranges it is one of the worst ARHs

Or the Russians, which have the Pantsir that can shoot down mavericks so easily I could honestly do it with the radar screen alone (meaning without using my actual third person/player/gunner camera to aim)

america has one of the best BVR planes which can take full advantage of the SPAMRAAM in ways only the Eurofighter and Mirage Rafale can only match. Typhoon cant carry as many of them and the rafale (which isn’t even in french spec but indian. so fake buff there) only matches fox 3 missile count but mica is much more of a dogfight missile than BVR jouster

I really wish people would stop using Pantsir as the sole barometer of how powerful CAS needs to be. Everything is always “I need SLAMs to beat Pantsir!!”, “I need full scope Brimstones to counter Pantsir!!”.
There is never any attention paid to how such things would make the game legitimately unplayable for everyone else. What is the Israel player in his Machbet, The Japan player in his Type81, or the Italian player in his OTO supposed to do? Both US and UK are still stuck with ADATS, are there any US/UK mains here who can honestly tell me with a straight face they’d enjoy fighting SLAM / F&F Brimstones with that thing? I highly doubt it.
Gaijin made a huge mistake adding KH38. They made a huge mistake adding Pantsir. But making the game worse just to one up the former and counter the latter, is like eating our own turds so long as RU mains have to smell our breath. No one wins. The game gets worse for everyone.
We need to focus on letting the 9/10 countries with useless AA catch up before we buff CAS anymore.
It’s not like fighting SLAM would be any leg up compared to the KH-38. It would be even easier, it’s a slower weapon with less magazine depth. So yes, I would rather fight SLAM with the ADATS than the KH-38M
Getting SLAM is just attempting to get some sort of parity in the standoff department that it currently dramatically missing for ‘"some reason’"
“Some reason” is because 9/10 countries are still stuck with SPAA’s that struggle to deal with even current armament top tier US CAS.
It makes little sense to make the game objectively worse for the 90%, purely to spite the 10% (RU) that has been spoiled beyond belief.
I have nothing against US, and everyone else getting all their bells and whistles in the long run, but we just desperately need to have better SAM’s in place beforehand (and I include US within that). Even in the devs own words CAS is having a negative impact on top tier. We can’t let the gap CAS / AA gap grow any larger.
