F/A-18A should be 12.7, F/A-18C (Early) should be 13.0

F/A-18A is effectively a sidegrade to the F-16ADF and the F/A-18C(E) is effectively a sidegrade to something like the F-15A or F-16A (Belgium)

yeah i’m suprised there isn’t much commotion in this thread. It’s still patch day, so maybe it’ll be different in a day or two

It was absurd when the dev patch that placed it at 12.3 came out, still absurd now

Honestly. Day 1, especially middle of the week. Most probably havent even used it or fought against it much yet. I’ve literally only seen one so far, parked on a carrier as I was coming in to land (in ASB).

Probably worth refreshing this thread Saturday or Sunday. Probably get more of a response. I agree that the F-18s would probably be better off being a higher BR, 12.7 being a good starting point. But I dislike day 1 panic over BR, it often causes more harm than good

It doesn’t take any amount of thinking to understand the Hornet doesn’t belong at the same BR as the F-16A which has only 9Ls, and is possibly the best 12.3 jet already, while the Hornet has a similar tier FM with sparrows as well in addition to the 9Ls… or that the C Early should be only 12.7 when it has 7Ps. C(E) should get 9Ms, 18A should just be 12.7

I’m planning on skipping that BR range until it’s moved, that thing at 12.3 is an abomination when it could easily be the best 12.7 (and probably on the stronger side of 13.0)

The Su-27 is better than the F/A-18C(E) in every way. There is no need to move it up to the same BR.

Screwing around with the premium one (got it because I like the targeting pod placement), it is a bit skewiff to be anywhere near 12.3 with the armament, without accounting the agility.

There is. It’s just better than other 12.7s. Same with the A at 12.3, it’s just better than other 12.3s. F/A-18C(E) is comparable to F-15A and F-16A (Belgium). Just give it 9Ms
