F/A-18 Hornet (Legacy): History, Performance & Discussion

These types of problem could be handled by the improved FCS logic. One good example is the software solution (along with the hardware changes) to address roll rate issues during the development of the F/A-18.

And also we have to remember that the F/A-18’s paddle switch was just an autopilot disengage/nosewheel steering button without g-limiter override function, at least during the 1983. What was true in 1983 may not be true at all in 1993.

And do you know how they handled that problem lol.

They restricted the deflection of the control surfaces to prevent departure.

Well, we do know the F/A-18 could perform pirouette, at least.

Where? what timestamp.

All the ones I see still have significant forward airspeed reducing the AOA.

Around 0:54 and 1:36. There are other videos showing F/A-18s high AoA maneuver capability.

Yes but not nearly as what’s seen in War Thunder.

One thing is for sure, the '83 manual doesn’t tell you everything about the aircraft in service today.

They almost never push jets to their limit in airshows like we do in WT

Sure it doesn’t but the 2008 one does lol.
It is not good to be shared however.

You know what’s sad. How bad the Harriers underperform. Are you able to help with that?

If you can’t share it, please don’t talk about it. It’s pointless.

Mhmm lol.

Can you help with the Harriers?

oh no

I decided to want gajin implemented Litening AT instead Litening II for the second major update

[/quote]

Equipped Litening AT since 2006 ~ 2017 before change to Litening G4 pod

But F/A-18A+ (2005 ~ 2009) equipped Litening AT same F/A-18C/D
