Won’t happen since it never carried more afaik
What’s the difference between Python 3 and 4? I assume it has IRCCM at least.
It’s essentially the Python 5 we already have in game for the SPYDER, except with IR/UV (like a Stinger or AAM-3) seeker instead of IIR (like IRIS-T or AIM-9X). Since neither of those seeker types are in game yet for aircraft anyways it would simply be IRCCM IR in game if it was added now.
Current Python 5 stats
Keep in mind an air launched missile would generally reach higher speeds, air launched Python 4 speed seems to be ~ mach 3.5
I huge fkn difference. The Python 4 should be capable of 70Gs (it’ll be 50 ingame likely), it can 180 on a target, and has 2 types of IRCCM, gatewidth and shutoff (I think, I always forget it’s IRCCM type since it debated).
Even without TVC, it’s as maneuverable as other modern HOBS TVC IR AAMs.
Harrier slaps. I do the same thing- ez dunks
If only harrier could have its wobble aim fixed , more power and the WEP not to run out before i can finish 1 fight would be nice
Probably, 70G seems to be the dual plane rate of the missile, so it will probably be limited to single plane 50G same as they did for Python 5 and AAM-3.
Don’t think they’d do that in game. It’s on ground launched missiles like the Stinger and Python 5, but air launched missiles with similar IR/UV seekers still have it limited to just one type of IRCCM for balance reasons. Though this might change with the next wave of IR missiles once that comes.
Fox 3 should start at 13.3 IMO
13.7- JF17, kfir
13.3- F5, harrier , tornado
13 - f15a/ flanker/ mig 29
Everything at its current BR gets yeeted up and ends with TT 15.3
But sadly never going to happen
The Python 5 is a much more advanced seeker IRL than simply being standard IRCCM, much like the Aim-9X B2 it’s supposed to have IIR capabilities. Don’t know if it has that ingame or not, but it should.
As these capabilities will get expanded on ingame with these next gen missiles and are added to aircraft, we’ll like see them all get proper seeker performance.
It is yes, but the Pythons specially have exterior rolling fins in the missiles to allow for it. Gaijin gave the Phoenix its 25Gs, don’t see why other missiles can’t get their dual plane pulls either, even without a proper guidance logic using dual plane being made and used.
But, I was told the F-5TH and M346FA are fantastic and that any criticism is a ‘skill issue’…
F-5TH isn’t even bad on it’s own. It’s a nice plane to use. But it simply faces things with at least twice as many missiles.
Yeah, I wasn’t talking about their real seekers, I just meant they use the games gatewidth + shutoff IRCCM to represent their seekers. I know that in reality these aren’t even the same type of seeker and likely have different IRCCM methods from eachother.
I’m not saying they shouldn’t have it, just saying that this is how Python 5 and other missiles with constant dual plane maneuverability are implemented right now. But if the Phoenix’s 25G are dual plane then maybe there is still hope.
I know what you were saying, I guess I did a poor job of trying to get across the same point as your last sentence, pretty much being: Its wrong now, but both will likely end up being corrected at some point in the future as they’re further developed.
Oh I know, but gaijin will say it can’t have it. Its a missile with a notorious feature it needs to be able to make use of yet won’t be able to, classic gaijin.
And things with much better flight models. It simply isn’t competitive against its competition. 13.0 is almost exclusively uptiered to 13.3 and 13.7 matches or worse. Remember that the Venezuelan SU-30 is only 0.3 higher.
I don’t find its FM to be that bad even against the two premium 13.3 Flankers. The foremost downside is missile count and its well ahead of any others, even CM count and top speed.
Everytime you think that this jet should be 13.0, go look at sea harrier. Then, if you’re still unconvinced, consider 11.7s facing Fox3s and 12.0s facing Fox3s even when they arent uptiered fully
trading twice as many, better ARHs and 380 CMs for being a crappy subsonic attacker? looks like a fair trade to me
The Thai F-5 and the M346FA already face almost exclusively uptiers due to the Premium black hole of all the high tier premium flankers. These crappy planes are facing constant uptiers already.
I didn’t mention anything about those. I said 11.7-12.3
