F-5C and american F-5A should have their FM fixed and their CM’s removed (also pretty sure they are not supposed to have 9E’s aswell)
ofc they would go down, by how much i dont know since placing them at like 9.3 would probably be a little too low but 9.7 and above is really compressed so…
so that should happen
chinese F-5A and thai F-5A should be higher since they should have access to 9P’s
NF-5A is of course going to be higher than all of those listed above due to its stronger engines
norwegian F-5A is kinda weird since it has CM’s irl and 9L’s so idk where that should go
so i suppose thats how those should be place relative to each other

Moving the F-5s below 10.3, even with removing their flares and missiles, would make em too strong. Imagine fighting an F-5 in an F-100D.
Realistically, the only real option is let them continue to suck for now until the BRs are properly decompressed.
Prob AIM-9B would be fine to retain?

They probably can keep even worse missile, AIM-9B.
That is why he also mentions decomp.
w/o decomp, F-5A/C(USAF) w/o CM in 10.0-ish could be very, very complicated plane.

unironically the only thing that has a small chance would be the Hunter F.6. Hunter may be the problematic STR fighter of that BR region but that wont matter against an F-5.
SRAAM, however, would very much matter. If thats fired at a decent angle at less around 1.5KM nothing without flares or firing rockets can escape it. The only thing able to counter something decently would still be entirely reliant on the F-5 player being trash.
In other words pretty much nobody below 11.0 can deal with an F-5 even if it was flareless.

Well, let’s start from the fact that compression is needed across the board to tier them properly .
Then…
You have MiG 21SMT/MF , you have M5BA and M3S C.70 ,35XS and F35, F8U-2 ,AJ37 …and ofc A-10 and Su-25s with all aspects (because they are slow) .
Please explain me how the F-100D (for example) manages against them , and while they can outfly it they can also lob a missile that you won’t escape (and even with rocket pods for flares you’ll sacrifice performance you don’t have)?
It’s rhetorical question for the most part… in equal terms an F-100D is just fodder for any of this.
For the F-100D even the Ayit at 9.7 is way too much.
On the other hand, you can’t have all of the above at 10.3 and say the F-5A/C (especially when we say removing CMs, 9Es and fixing the FM and the engine’s heat which are wrong) is OP .
Also, for the most part in the game, when you compare the vehicle BR difference of 1.0 or 0.7 above will certainly have capabilities a lower vehicle won’t have. And that’s why we need big decompression to at least create space for some vehicles that in the current status , they will be garbage just because they uptiered one step and they’ll be godmode because they downtiered…
I the gunfight event i could fight a F-5E in a MiG-19S …well i couldn’t win the long fight but on occassions i would have down him before it gets to position if my aim wouldn’t suck… i had him on sight at least 2 times and i missed.
And not once. That happened in enough games.
But the thing is, they need to fix both the FM and engine heat anyway… then move down. In any case both of those stats are wrong.
They can’t. The MiG-21s, 35XS/F35, AJ37, and F8U-2 (aswell as F8E) are all long overdue for a BR raise.
Moving the F-5 to a lower BR right now is a bad idea.

This thing is great at 10.7 and doesn’t need better missiles
It’d be nice to have some but its a great, fun little plane that can get more than enough kills with decent aim.
It’s great at ground pounding and although the missiles can be a bit lacklustre and frustrating at times, the guns and FM is where this plane shines.
