They can’t. Swiss doctrine, as far as I know, does not contain close air support. Not with the F/a-18s atleast
It shouldn’t, but Germany in WT gets historical accuracy and realism applied only when convenient (or inconvenient, when it comes to the Leopard 2 change)
See Maus APDS-HE, F-4F with 9J sidewinder, Ostwind II, etc.
Snail has a history of playing loose with their rules around Germany.
The swiss pilots are fully trained in cas and the planes still have the capability.
So mavericks, gbus etc all possible
Its a thing for every nation not just germany.
Japan f-16aj, the r2y2
France a historical hot missle on the eurocopter premium. Ito 90m in the tree and more
Gripen c getting armaments they never used in country (some maverick variants?
Getting skytemps they never were compatible with
And so on
And f4f aim 9j was answered multiple times, german pilots used /trained with them in the US on their f4fs
The rules have been bent for Germany so many times it’s getting hard to count, don’t pretend they don’t get different treatment to a country like France or the UK.
They dont
Other countries get the same ridiculous treatment
Again, if the situation was reversed for any “minor” nation it’d be different. Gaijin has set a definite precedent with their rules not applying to Germany as strictly as they do to ones that make lower profits.
If the rules they set for Germany applied to every tree, things like the F-8EFN would be allowed to have countermeasures installed. SRAAM would be an option for a massive number of UK jets. Japan would be allowed to have US ground attack loadouts.
Except it the case.
Uk gets constantly vehicles added it has nothing to do with to make the tree even viable.
Adats, gripen with skytemp. The tog 2 getting not real version.
Japan as well getting a whole imaginative IS plane
American planes getting countermeasures when they didnt have them.
Getting engine upgrades because they cried and so on.
Get your head out of the sand germany isnt getting preferef treatment
Yeah and germsn f4fs would have access to triple maverick racks.
Tornados acces to brimstones/pgm
And more but they dont
Germany never used the 9j. The only reason the 9Fs have is for the sake of balance.
Bro, I showed you a picture of a German F-4F with AIM-9Js. It has USAF markings because it’s in the US and was required to have them by law.
On top of that, you really don’t want to go down the ‘didn’t use it’ rabbit hole.
The APDS literally did not function. It shattered consistently out to significant distance on the only armor worth using it on. If the ammo functioned in game as it did IRL you’d have literally no reason to ever use it on the majority of maps in the game.
F-4F with AIM-9J is literally just like my example. If the F-4F early/late was in the French tree, it’d 100% be limited to AIM-9F.
Other jets getting ahistorical concessions are a result of the floodgates being opened by Germany having special treatment for a very long time.
You do realize Germany is guilty of the same? Argentine SK-105 has literally zero connection to Germany. Swiss Hunter has no connection.
Gripen with Skyflash SUPERtemp? Flakbus with Crotale VT-1, happened earlier.
TOG getting a “what-if” modification? E-100 and Coelian. Neither were finished. E-100 and Coelian having even more “what if” added to them compared to a handful of useless MGs and a hull howitzer.
F-16AJ and R2Y? Tiger 2 105, Panther 2 and Ostwind 2. Just guess the difference between Germany and Japan that makes it harder for Gaijin to delete the paper planes from Japan and replace them with real ones.
Special treatment? F-4F should have come with AIM-9L!
Harrier GR3 should have gotten AIM-9L, Etendard should have Magic I… the list continues. Except the missiles these got were worse than their IRL ones, not better (in the case of F-4F early).
Yes, missiles are a balance lever. That has always been the case with every nation.
@BeautifulTai_wan u 2 seem to completly forget that germany did use aim9j on the f4f and their is prove for it. It was used during the initial training.
Its historical
Worthless claims from u which u cant support
Lies once again worthless claims by you
Argentinian vehicles are housed in the german tree currently. Uk has canadian vehicles as well just cause.
Switzerland is gonna be a subtree
French eurocopter with hot missles. France not even having an ito 90
And thats why coelian is removed and e-100 isnt obtainable by mortals either
May I throw the AMX A-1A into the discussion? Because I don’t get how this is an 11.3 while the base one is 10.7, despite the base having more capable ground ordenance.
Yes, the A-1A gets slightly more potent missiles, but they are just as flareable as the 9Ls. Which means you have to use them in a way that means the other guy dies anyway, since he isn’t paying attention.
The SU-25 and A-10C get much more potent strike options both in A2A and A2G at 0.3 of an echolon higher. And the premium AMX strangely needs to cope with a 0.7 increase. That should be fixed quickly.
you can ask the developers to remove the ito90 and replace it with a french crotal-ng on a tracked chassis
Yes, I’d place it at 10.7 too. If the upgraded.AAMs.are really good, maybe 11.0 (though I’ve heard they are more of a side grade than a straight upgrade) , but I’d place it no higher than the FRS1 with 4x Aim-9Ls at a minimum and that’s 11.0
At least in sim the AMX-1A is excellent at 11.3. The missiles are incredibly fast and they have only a 2 second burn time so it could be considered almost a smokeless missile. It can take two fire bombs to bomb a base for 640 mission points. If you pick a game where you are facing MiG-23MLx then you will be in a very target rich environment. The flight model will also be changed for the better in the upcoming update, at least for the combat flap rip speed. If the upcoming RWR nerfs cause it to not be able to filter out friendlies, as it should for realism and consistency, then it should go down.
