Also yes, there’s a HUGE difference between aim9g and j, practically wise. AIM9J has much longer range, has more flare resistance, can be radar enslaved and has a wider proximity detonator. AIM9J’s need to connect. AIM9G’s can be literally dodged but detonate just 5 meters away while aim9j’s at around 1 meter.

Enslaving it to radar will lead to not seeing flares up to being launched, so if you launch it from 1km behind after enslaving it it will certainly follow the nozzles. Also, the seeker is smaller aiding in this aspect. Even if the flare resistance is not tied to the missile’s behavior once launched, it is to it’s characteristics. The same way PL5B’s can go through barrages of flares from 1.5km rear aspect, seeker small enough to act as an already gatewide irccm.
Not true really. It still sees them. The radar is just locking the seekers gate to one direction. It’s still gonna go for the flare

All aspect ground clutter filtering. I’d consider the F-4J better overall for missile count, but individually, the MiG-23’s missiles and radar felt way better to use.
Though tbf my experience was also prolly skewed by the MiG-23’s FM and R-60Ms.

Both has the same flare resistance (aka dogshit unless against harriers). 9J’s higher amount of warhead explosive doesn’t do much in an actual match. 9G actually has more range than 9Js due to their longer burn time, and both turn roughly the same.
9Js are also not slavable, that’s 9P.
They have the same fov. PL-5Bs are “more resistant” because it has way more initial acceleration than other missiles of its BR. Maybe you should play them first before you start saying things that are fake.

Because you fire rear aspect R-24Rs often? At people lower altitude than you?
He said it himself. Airframe was insanely busted for what it was fighting. If you used manual sweep and left it at like… 40%? You could go almost 1400kmh and turn insanely well still.
Honestly would’ve been good to serve as an update and give the F-4C through J’s their simulated doppler inputs.
