F-22 Raptor

Atleast you gave a source, but the source interpreted another source incorrectly. The Sandboxx cited another source and says that the F-22 had fuel tanks. But when you go to the other source, it only says that when the Typhoons foregoes fuel tanks it beats the F-22, very misleading by Alex Hollings.

"Typhoon pilots explained that when the F-22 was flying with external fuel tanks attached….”

That aligns with the photographs of all F-22s being clean & at least one Typhoon having fuel tanks.
It also aligns with Rafale going toe to toe as Typhoon is the superior dogfighter among those two as well.

So in terms of dogfight in game, it would be like
EFT> Rafale=F-22 or EFT>F-22>Rafale or EFT>Rafale>F-22?

And J-10 even better then EFT in dogfight since IIRC J-10 defeated Qatari EFT?

Fair enough, I guess I’m wrong.

Well, I don’t know how Gaijin would model the F-22 tbh, could model it as being better than the EFT and Rafale, depends on a lot of things.

Lockheed Martin with their lobbying maneuver is at play once again.

Yep, only the US has any reason to lie about these exercises.

Yeah one mock dog fight doesn’t mean anything to Gajin or just performance in general

You all win this inside joke about mock battles from 00. Good job 👍

ive heard that there was a mock dogfight between them recently, however what they 9the French) claimed as a “kill” was the F-22 getting IRST locked for a small bit, i’ll have to dig it up, but the US has a reason for that if i recall correctly, something about “learning more from losing than winning” or something like that

Alex Hollings is a joke. He makes so many misleading claims. Far from a ”expert” in my eyes.

There’s an UK doc with numbers (ATF/F22 goals/requirements), along with numbers from other sources such as the old LM website.
Aerodynamic & RCS performance could be simulated in software (I doubt this will be the case, tho), granted there would be limitations and innaccuracies of course, but at least some gap bridging and checking between the sources could be made.

What false claims has he made in the past? This is the first time I’ve heard about him but if hes’ made a lot of misleading claims I’ll probably try and steer clear of using him as a source, much like Yefim Gordon.

This is insane shit, i was done normal calculations, even with oswald umber 1 and 25000 mass it out at 8.6g. this jet have insane induced drag irl what can be seen in youtube videos. real g load at this speed is 7g (32t thrust, 25t mass) e=0.8
btw it will not have 32t thrust at this speed so str is much lower then 7g

sep 394 at sl is another wet dream of graduates of the agricultural college

🤣

🤣

hope it will be limit like in mig25, wing rip of which is based on engine temperature

f22 have no aim9x up to 2013+, in acm it have close str capabilities or sl better to euroshits even with larger amount of fuel.
the only significant advantage is nose-pointing capability, it can reach good aoa when all euroshits will flat spin at more then 22 aoa irl, not in this PC game

at bvr f22 mogging all euro jets

It also collects a lot of data dog fights real or in a simulator is useful for feeding there drone fighter program
