F-22 Raptor

it does have some form of what should be radar-absorbing material or paint, just the government is so corrupt that all it is, is often in name only due to how heavily its gets watered down from a mix of poor government funding, corrupt government officials pulling more money from the program, as well as a lack of military contractor competition, often leading to something where say on a pamphlet it looks good, but when hands on it only delivers roughly 1/4-1/3 of its actual advertised capability

damn, airforce is getting busy with the older aircraft over the next few years with the mix of F-15Es getting EPAWSS, F-16s getting IVEWS, more F-15EXs bought, as well as F-22s getting new IRST pods, stealth fuel tanks, and a overall survivability and detection upgrade (by the looks of it)

I’ve heard a stealth combat loaded F-35A is close to performance as a clean F-16C, yes the F-16 will beat it, but that’s with nothing on the wings, no empty racks, and empty wingtips, everyone thinks that turn ability is the main way to win dogfights, when its really not, its mainly thrust output on demand as well as how long it could hold its max AOA, just going off of airshows i’ve been to personally (i don’t have photos for all) the F-35s often hold a higher AOA then the F-16 and F/A-18s/EA-18G passes as well as having a quicker climb out rate (from what i’ve noticed from watching at least)

Yeah, I agree. The Su-57 is basically a showcase aircraft for expos and military parades. It’s not an aircraft built for war.
It was created as a display of military achievement for propaganda purposes—much like the German Wunderwaffe.

I bet its the F-35 that currently has a sub 40% readiness rate.

Explain yourself. I wanna hear you out.

And yet I would much rather have 40% readiness of 1.4 thousand aircraft than 99% readiness of, like, 40ish felons? That is, including testbeds.
Or even the couple hungred the Chinese have built.

Sure, but those are closely related: sustained turn and thrust.
If you have very powerful engines like an F22 or F35, you can fight more drag than on weaker ones (reminder that when you generate lift on the wings, you automatically generate more induced drag, you’re also fighting parastic drag from the non-lifting generating parts of the airframe).
While not a dedicated dogfighter, it does have decades of advancements over F16s in engines and aerodynamics.

Aircraft used in a war isn’t built for war?

I get it, just a troll

Why are you writing to me? I haven’t spoken to you. If you’re unhappy about something, that’s your problem. Ok.

larp,
its actualy around 600 f35 and 200 f22.

lets not forget that money matter un the military which russia doesnt have. also love the fact that your comparing a 800 Billion to a 180 Billion defense budget.

totally not the same.

its closer to 800

is not even close to so called 1400 units that he said.

F-35 over 1,325 units built. Possible even more.

“But some of those are for export” - and I would guess the 40% readiness includes those as well. So what.

built =/= in service with the US air force.

last i recall, uk f35 or any export does not count in the USA fleet.
