F-22 Raptor

Explain why rafale on that page does not line up with the other data including bar graphs, and is identical to the ESRD requirements, kinda looks like a mistake/typo.

Some nice pics anyway

Doesn’t look bad from this angle tbh

IMO it only looks bad form the front close up angle, any other angle and it looks very beautiful

From further away it looks cool

Especially the canopy color

i think my brain is too small to comprehend this lmao

Yeah it does a weird curve when it connects to thr canopy section, overall tho the F22 side view is peak, esoecially the big ass rudders.

Image showing RAMs development, in relation to why the F-22’s look so beaten up.
Wears a lot faster than the newer stuff on the F-35’s

Can someone tell me if F-22 radar would also be upgraded?

So far, nothing has been announced. It has only used upgraded AN/APG-77(V)1 since 2007.

Ohk, thanks for the info!!

“The USAF has requested $110M in FY27 for project ‘Viability’ to support F-22 modernization.
Viability covers the Infrared Defensive Suite (IRDS), Geyser+, high-bandwidth satellite communications, and other efforts aimed at preparing the Raptor for future threats.
IRDS involves the F-22’s Missile Launch Detector (MLD) modernization, focused on detecting long-range air-to-air and surface-to-air missile threats. It replaces legacy MLDs and adds Open System Architecture (OSA) software integration.
The Air Force considers Geyser+ a critical capability against future threats.”

What’s Geyser+

Someone knows if USAF ever planned to upgrade the APG-77(v)1 to a GaN version like the APG-85 for the F-35?

I don’t think it’s publicly known, not that I’ve seen at least
