Unfortunately I don’t think we’ll see CCA’s until a bit after 5th gens have been in a while

Someone has any idea of how many minutes of fuel (100%, full tank) F-22 would have in game? Im kinda curious about its efficiency

How many flares/chaff is it going to have is the question I’m wondering…

72 large or 144 normal
Or the mix of both with the total count in between

There are 2 CM bays both side with 3 cmds slots.

A slot can have total 12 large or 24 normal.

These aren’t large (Well, they are in game, but Flares aren’t modeled in full detail and the MJU-10 isn’t presently an option), the large US flares (IRL) are the MJU-10 (2" * 2" ) form factor, and it appears that the ALE-52 can’t / doesn’t mount the MJU-17 (6 x MJU-10 units) Flare magazine, though they are interchangeable for the ALE-40(V) Family of dispensers.

The MJU -11 Chaff / Flare magazine uses the 1*1, M206 (Flare) / RR-170 (chaff) form factor and mounts 30 charges per dispenser.

The MJU-13 Flare magazine uses the 1" * 2", MJU-7/B form factor and mounts 15 Flares per dispenser.

If I had to guess, one of either the MJU-39 , or -40 is likely to be Covert, but both are known to be kinematic flares so should have IR3CM (Counter-Countermesure) properties

Remember the F-22 can supercruise at Mach 1.5-1.8. Some estimations put it at 1h30/2h of flight time at military power. It depends on speed and altitude.

Afterburning, in the single-digit minutes. Saw an estimation putting it at around 7 minutes of afterburner from full to empty. The F-22 will probably have to be played without afterburner most of the match and only afterburning in dogfights when it’s truly needed.

This is without the stealth-optimized external fuel tanks(The pylon is also dropped with them). I’d imagine about 12min of full afterburning with the fuel tanks, maybe a little bit more. Though you’d be losing your stealth advantage long range over raw performance early game for BVR.

so you could probably safely sit at 102% with some extra gas left during an ARB match

Considering F-16 can also afterburner for 15-20 mins with full internal fuel only I’d say F-22 is not gonna struggle too much.

I’d say the F-22 fuel efficiency-fuel tank size would be closer to the F-15. The F-15 is a thirsty fuel guzzler and you can really feel it in an RB match if you stay on the afterburner non-stop and don’t die in the opening engagement.

from some document i read, the f22’s fuel efficiency is 0.3 compared to f100 0.35. but given the raptors super cruise capability it may alter it a bit or due to the difference in bypass ratios. we do know the f119 without nozzles is lighter and simpler than the f100 also without nozzles and that often points to efficiency. the raptors currently are getting a sustainment and update program where the engines may become a bit more efficient

on a side note the F22 raptor is my favorite fighter. its just very sleek and is a statement against time. long live the raptor
