F-22 Raptor

do you have a source of whether or not that grate is on any models?

think this might be the only image on the internet with the engine mesh in place, earliest i could place this is from 2020, and while im sure it might be effective, they would be better of simply retooling the whole engine like the planned su57M models, as this mesh will still reflect radar, if by less

Pre production PAK FA T-50, production airframes are redesigned and have actual ram coating and proper panels. The same goes for the radar blocker in the intake. F-22 has similar ‘issues’.

noting from the sources i was being generous when it come to RCS, seeing as the median RCS for the SU57 is .48 according the the documents provided, significantly worse then both the j20 and f35, and thats without taking into account the ram coating (of which the US’s is most likely better simply due to experience and a higher development budget)

In what place is it 0.48?

near the bottom under summery: median rcs value

This is one study alone, and is not true. Firstly, because the author could not model the radar blocker, and secondly, he incorrectly modeled the air intake

Su-57 -7.982 dBsm^2
F-35 -11 dBsm^2

this is from a document you quoted

I’m talking about the design of the radar blocker, not about the study itself. You asked about its availability and I answered you

Here is what the author of the study himself writes.
His model is very roughly shaped
image

Nothing was destroyed there. The author of the study does not know what shape the radar blocker is at what distance it stands from the engine blades and at what angle. All this research can be thrown in the trash

was talking about this

while not exactly obliterated any explosion near an aircraft tends to fuck shit up at a minimum

He probably got some kind of damage. But clearly not destroyed

oh not destroyed fuselage wise, but if russia has any form of safety standards that thing is going off the front to be repaired, and considering how their aviation industry is looking it will probably take several months to years to fix

from the position the scorch marks are shrapnel is likely to have struck something in the engine at a minimum, that and the RAM coating is probably fubar near the nose and wing

That depends. Shrapnel entering the hull of the plane can take out internal systems without sowing major damage to the surface.

The plane could be entirely trashed or be completely fine.

I don’t think there is a way for anyone not examining it in person to guess the damage it took.

I’m pretty sure those are paintings or inflations of on to “fool” Zelenskyy.

Not a prototype.an untouched photo…just save the 5500x3700 photo and open it in the viewer…
