F-20s fighting MiG-29s is like… a successfully completed tactical failure (aka, task failed successfully).
F-20 is better than Mig-29 9.13 in literally every way except Radar missiles. Literally.
The reason Mig-29 is 12.0 and not lower is because of R-27ER

İt slower then Mig29, has less effective range on its radar, lacks TWS and has less rip speed if i remember correctly.
Also lacks IRST, has less countermeasures that is less effective because of angles that countermeasures released.
F-20 might be better then Mig-29 in sustained turn fight but regular Mig-29 isnt as bad as you claimed, for its br its one of the best plane you can find.
Overall F-20 has better İr missiles while Mig-29 has better kit.
Sadly i dont think they are planning to do that anytime soon.

Aim-9P4’s are basically Aim-9J’s with L seeker, not only they have less agility they also have less range.
So instead of letting F4J suffer we’re gonna let entire 11.0-13.0 suffer cause you wanted to have best sidewinder in F-20.
