Hey fellow War Thunder players and devs.
I wanted to ask a question and put some things out there.
Could we see the F18C Early for USA possibly getting a lower BR? Possibly 12.3. I think 12.7 is too high of a BR. The jet is constantly getting up-tiers to 13.0-13.7 and always facing Fox 3s and IRCCM Ir missiles, and AIM-7P and AIM-9L’s simply cannot compete at this BR. Which brings me to my next topic. Could we see the F18C Early, get AIM-120As and/or AIM-9M Sidewinders, in BR’s that this aircraft almost always faces (13.0-13.7). It is seeing R-73’s, AIM-9Ms, R-77s, and AIM-120s, and Phoenixes. All of these weapons outperform the weapons given to the f18 by a very high standard. The F18C Early in-game, which appears to be the Lot 25 Variant. Historically receives AIM120’s and AIM9ms, which would match the time period this aircraft came out (80’s - 90’s). This would also make it somewhat “fairer" if I mean, as a lot of other nations in the game ( Russia, China, Sweden, etc.) have Fox 3 Premiums.
Not in the foreseeable future. Its vastly superior to every 12.3 in the game and will ruin that br if its lowered.
Also another no. They represent a specific time in the F18’s lifetime thats why they’re only limited to fox 1’s and 9L’s so this out of the question.
As with all these problems, the cause is compression.
All 13.3 + planes need to move up.
F2, su33 and C10 need to be 13.3.
F15’s to 13.0
13.3 su30’s to 14.0 with the other HMD fox 3 slingers and the br will be able to breathe again
Why do you think this would be fair to existing 12.3 jets or 12.0 jets?
Why do you think the F-18CE is unique in this regard from other 12.7s to determine it alone needs some magical downtier to stomp land where it just eats everything alive?
No, not really. But even if we did give it these weapons, why do you think it wouldn’t be 13.7? Do you think it would stay 12.7?
Why was SU33 excluded from su27 family? They are sidegrades.
Also, you can’t just move up su27/su33/f2/kfir unless you decompress harder. They would also become useless at this higher BR if all you do is raise some other jets by 0.3br.

Moving every 13.3+ plane up by 0.3 (and the prem Su-30s up by 0.7), the new 13.3 BR will be identical in what vehicles things can meet in uptiers as the current 13.0 BR.
Do that, bring the flankers, F-4F ICE/ Tornado F.3 Late, Kfir C.10, and F-2A to 13.3, and they will end up not facing any more powerful enemies than they do currently. All it would do is alleviate pressure on worse 13.0s and prevent people from begging for their planes to go down (mig-29s/F-15s/etc).
No, you can’t. They would just get scraped the same way they currently get scraped by uptiers.
Yes… meaning these vehicles are still borderline useless in uptiers, but also now don’t see any downtiers into any relevant aircraft they themselves can be competitive against. You’re just disabling a BR bracket to make room for the one below. Decompression cannot be done by 0.3 steps.
Not only that, but this new 13.0 bracket you’re imagining will STILL SEE THE SU30 SPAM EVERY GAME.
Except Su-30SMs and EFT2000 (M-scans). while the premium Su-30s will be completely dead to Su-30SM2s, Rafs and EFT2000 (AESA)s.
The premium Su-30s would be average 13.7s (which is fine IMO I don’t think premiums should be the best thing at their BRs), but at 14.0 they would be bottom of the barrel
The fa18a is already very strong at 12.3, fa18c early would just mog everything at 12.3
F-18C Early shouldn’t get amraams, we do not need more Fox-3 premiums please.
The players at top tier are already terrible
average 13.7 game sometimes.

That’s the biggest problem with slower planes like the F/A-18 or F-2, by the time you get into the fight one team or the other is gone, so you either have nothing to shoot or the entire enemy team sweating on you for the last kill.
yeah, giving the F-18C Early 9ms and moving it up in br won’t help it either, people are just gonna keep zombing and ruining teams more
