Yeah naturally, because its OP, and its performance coasts on its amazing loadout which most noobs can use just fine. With the F-18A or F-16ADF (yes the 12.7 one) you need to be far more skilled and lucky to get similar consistent results.
But yeah, 2 wrongs don’t make 1 right, both should be higher in BR.
But without decompression, the F-18A will be a bad 12.7
I am quite unsure that Bison need to be the same BR with MiG-29(R-27ER) before decomp,
but I agree that it is a powerful machine.
If those napalm bombers didn’t bombed on Bison too, I am double sure that Bison got nerfed to 12.7 very quickly and became a bad 12.7.
You bomb minibases in top tier jets.
As compared to other things around its BR, it is merely one step above the F-4J over which it has almost every advantage possible.

Agree, there’s not much leeway to balance this stuff with the current compression.
The jump from 12.7 to 13.0 is the worst, like imagine the F-16A Netz being just 0.3 below the su-27. Actually, we don’t need to, it’s real lol

why say Su-27 when you can just say Su-33 with more missiles and good RWR
I mean I rawdog F-18 in my J-7E, and my only gripe with J-7E is that I don’t get IRCCM missile. you have to remember that J-7E has weaker engine than J-7D and it still rolls F-18A like it roll a sushi.
I’d take MiG-21 bis with 4 R-73 than F-18 with fucking 9L and Sparrow all day long.

Still awaits MiG-21 Bison(Late.) with 4 R-73 or R-77 in regular TT since day 1 that I pre-ordered the Bison. XD

The f18A is amazing gor 12.3 man in all honesty it should be 12.7, its comparable to the F16ADF at 12.7 which only has 2 sparrows and 4 x 9L.
As well as this if you fly the f18 properly it beats the J7E in almost every aspect bar retention, but quick net G tap and you have enough thrust to out energy a J7E.

At this rate thw f14 will end up at 7.0…
