Sure, they are not that kinematically impressive minus the ASRAAM. The MICA is a bigger threat than any of these missiles.

Where is this said? Every source I can find says 15km. Even IsraeliWeapons does, who is probably the best web source for Israeli stuff up to the 2010’s

Just to be absolutely clear, the MICA beats the Python 4 kinematically in War Thunder both in terms of turning performance and in terms of acceleration and range.

Sounds logical to me when 15km is its maximum non-maneuvering range from ground launch

Was with an aam3 at 11 km
P4 maybe with enough energy will be able to go beyond that depending on the drag values
Against a target with 3 km initial separation going the exact same speed as the launching aircraft in the opposing direction and at the same altitude
MICA-EM hits in 6.5 seconds
PL-5EII hits in 7.4 seconds
Python 4 hits in 7.7 seconds
R-73 hits in 8.9 seconds

Bruh the pl5e2 beats the p4
Thats surprising considering its very short burn time
The Python 4 has the PL-5EII beat at longer ranges. However, the PL-5EII is considerably better at shorter ranges because of the much more drastic acceleration.
Also, I want to note that in real life the PL-5EII has a more advanced seeker than the Python 4 and yet has been implemented in-game with nerfed IRCCM.

Which all of this are surely as good as the Python 5.
But you could argue the same with MICA ER. All it is is the best missile of its class / worst of the next class. So are you going to skip it and add python 5? Or add it so that when Israel finally gets python 4, its outclassed from the start. I dont see why the devs are set kn holding back P.4 from jets that could get it.

P4 fm isnt that strong at least in the game idk what u think it is but its just r27t range more or less with higher pull (not on r73 level) so no it wont be so powerful

The p4 could theoretically have and absolute range of 20 km but i have no way to prove it because i dont know if israel has tests that confirmed they’ve hit a target a that range

Yeah in game it can lock targets at 35 km but it a realistic scenario it would be 15 km if it can see the afterburner from side aspect
P4 won’t be able to reach those ranges with how much drag it has compared to the t

It burn for like 7 sec and then loses it speed fast cuz of the drag
R73 can do 180 too with no issue and better in tight df so i dont buy this “its op in performnce”
U put that missile on a bad platform and u can take only 6 missiles (only 4 python 4 max)
