The F-16C is missing its correct MAW and counter measures pods.
This and the 120C-5 then push it to 14.0
Same with the F15C
Thats good and all but…
Gaijin won’t take that as a valid source, as it’s one thing that they can be integrated and have been as well as used on the F-16, and it’s another to argue it be added to for a nation whose planes have not had it integrated in particular. Neither the BOL pod nor the PIDS last time I check has been used on American F-16’s, the Dutch F-16’s has one of those mentioned countermeasure pylons in-game, because they actually have used them, and even then, they don’t work with air-to-air missiles.
If you want to report to gaijin about it, you ought to do it through their bug report site, but I am saying it here rather than you having to wait for them to tell you it, but this would not be enough information to be brochure by gaijin, especially when it’s a brochure about them and nothing on any American F-16C and I doubt the Israeli F-16C is any different, as it just says these things can be used on them, but gaijin won’t accept it unless those particular F-16’s in service with those nations in particular also used these things. It’s why for example we could see F-16’s in the future in-game use IRIS-T but not American ones since they don’t use IRIS-T on their F-16’s, but other nations do such as Thailand.
Incorrect
Also not the standard required for ordnance to be added to an aircraft anyway, see Swiss F-18s
They have been used and they work with missiles I have images of it being used. Also the company that makes them directly state them being used with the F-16C which (I believe) only applies to the American and Israeli one because of the C.
C would be blocks 30-50/32-52 iirc, there are exportes versions however. I think US should get a 50/52+ F-16 as some sqv or event
its called IRIS-T (or AIM-2000)
PIDSU was used on US F-16C all the way back in the 1990s
Apparently, the upgrade to PIDS+ (putting MAWS into PIDSU) doesn’t require any sort of software/hardware changes, meaning the US F-16Cs should have the same pylons as th F-16AMs
Terma, the manufacturer says all capability is retained so they should be able to carry A2A missiles as well.
It only states they came use them, but what I am saying is that if American or Israeli F-16C’s have never EVER used them beside the suggestion of it REGARDLESS if they need to be modified or not to use them Gaijin will never accept any suggestion of these things being added to their F-16C’s if neither of their F-16’s ever used these things. Also when I was referencing they couldn’t use missiles I was referencing the one the Dutch F-16 has in-game, not any of the others and especially not the BOL pod, as I have never seen a PIDS pylon using an air to air missile on it.
Also what Ghost responded with to me serves as a better basis for a historical report/suggestion to get such a change done, it might be enough for evidence but some additional sources might be worth finding just in-case given this is gaijin we are talking about.
Ok i’ve found more sources and im planning to make a bug report including what ghost sent and images someone else sent
