there are some dumb decisions but 30 large flares + 60 chaff is optimal if gajin doesn’t let us choose. I really didn’t like the rafale changes from 32 large to 16 large + 36 normal is not optimal in actual in game circumstances.

Sucks taking the PIDS pylon since you have to sacrifice 1 or 2 A2A missiles available.
600gal drop tank is a brilliant addition
Hopefully when all these upgrades add up the total weight remains around 9t.

They really need to step up their games and give double/triple racks for A2A missiles to new F-16.

For some reason most countries despise triple racks on F16 it seems while in reality it would be huge buff in terms of a2a engagements.
because real life has pylon and weapon parasite drag making already light plane terrible. And cost money and you don’t need more missile as you just shoot and run away while someone else guides it for you

After 5 seconds of thinking, i think that would be a bad idea since it would cost more to send that many F-16 then just putting a tripple rack

There’s pros and cons to this.
On one hand, your F-16 has a buddy who can help if needed.
On the other, once they land that’s more maitenance for the ground crews, and you’d likely be buring more fuel sending x2 F-16s than just x1 draggier one.

Probably the better option some countries are willing to take if they’re unable to field more aircraft or have the budget to spare for more aircraft.
Also, pretty sure engineers do take into consideration on pylons, racks and the cons to them. Least the F-16 has the engine thrust to sustain itself.
It never stopped being light fighter, it doesn’t fly as fast and as high, it doesn’t have the range on internal fuel.
And as for extra missile J-10 for example needs dual racks to even reach that 6x missile configuration with tanks, while f-16 has dedicated station for them so there was never a need. The 10 missile loadout for it is not practical and never used together. Same with gripen btw, Mig-29 they have 5 tank configurations which is less missiles
There’s a reason why the F-16’s engines has been upgraded over the time with modern 16s fielding GE F110-129s (or -132s for UAE 16s) or PW 229 engine and it can fly pretty fast. External belly tank is usually always carried and most F-16s nowadays can equip CFT to extend the fuel range, or to free up the inner wing pylon for additional weaponry.
You’d still have more missiles though with the J-10C? 2 IR at the outermost, with dual rack PL-12s on the wing and fuselage for total 8 missiles if you’re taking external wing tanks. It might only be 2 IR missiles extra but better than nothing. F-16 is still limited to 6 max. 4 if you take additional weaponry for ground pounding.
In the WT Air RB sense, it’s practical to take all missiles with how matches turn out. Take the most amount of missiles. More missiles you have, more pressure/killing potential for your plane. Gripen E has been pretty economical so there’s no need for externals IMO, plus there’s little to no reason for bringing up to 5 external tanks for the MiG-29KR/35 unless you’re doing some photoshoots. The centerline tank is more than enough with full internal fuel.

Atm, PGM triple racks aren’t present on the inboard wing stations. Only single PGM’s, or multiple dumb bombs.
In fact, the PoBit doesnt get triple LGB racks at all in-game, while the F-16V does:
