they could even maybe give it F110-GE-132 because why not at this point, theyve already shown that they just can give planes whatever stuff they feel like

I expect Night Falcon Block 40 (2003 configuration) and Block 42 (early production & 1990 ~ desert storm config)

Block 30 (desert storm configuration) might be premium vehicle tech tree

For me, might be Air National Guard 2006 ~ 2009 or 2010 configuration

imo that block 30 is probably the only relevant american f-16 left to be added.

Other than that, the most interesting f-16 to me is the block 60

i wouldnt mind a slightly later block 30, and then a GE-132 testbed block 30.

also the F-16D block 42 that got the first AMRAAM air to air kill

For those interested in the story -

On December 27, 1992, during Operation Southern Watch in Iraq, F-16 778 was under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Gary ‘Nordo’ North. North and three other F-16s from the 33rd Fighter Squadron went on a patrol, taking off from Dhahran Air Base in Saudi Arabia. At one point, an Iraqi MiG-25 Foxbat entered the “No Fly Zone”, immediately becoming a hostile aircraft.

North coordinated a formation so that the four F-16s would not let the MiG-25 escape back to their country, forcing combat. At the same time as he was requesting permission to engage the MiG, he was asking his wingman to employ the electronic jamming systems.

“Finally he heard ‘bandit-bandit-bandit, cleared to kill’ on his headphones", says 1st Lieutenant James Mobbley, officer of the 56th Equipment Maintenance Squadron, responsible for painting the plane.

That was the authorization North needed. About 5.5 km from the MiG-25, it fired a radar-guided missile AIM-120 AMRAAM, shooting down the Iraqi fighter.

The quick engagement went down in history, marking not only the first kill of a US F-16, but also the first using the AIM-120, the missile most used by NATO air forces and other US-aligned countries. But beyond the kill, the desert camouflage paint job is also a tribute to another F-16C.

Sergeant Michael Cichonsky, with the 56th Maintenance Squadron explains that the fictional design “was inspired by the desert camouflage uniform used during the first Gulf War and a similar experimental camouflage that was tested at the time”

The usual HARM we run. We can run up to 4 of these at a time on a bird but 2 is usually done so we can run drop tanks.

I really wish we had more bunker busters in game especially on things like the F-16, F-15E, and F-111F. I really wish I could run the GBU-27 on the 16 and the GBU-28 on the F-15E and F-111F

I got into an argument recently about if something like this should be added or not.

An upgraded block 10 with AESA and Captive ECM, but it’s flown by a Private Company as opposed to a Military.

What would you guys make of it?

Since you guys are really smart (and also a point of authority) I’d love to hear your feedback on if PMC vehicles would qualify for addition into the game.

they would probably go to who ever made it then, since its an F-16 it would go to the US tree

PMC, privately own vehicles? Well from a official stand point I have no information to give on that front. Personally zero idea, we’ve never had them in the past, though never say never.

Suggestions for PMC (privately owned stuff) and “Technicals” will not be accepted - there are no plans to change this rule as far as I am aware.

What gets added is entirely up to the Developers, and we have neither influence over nor knowledge of future plans.

Nah, it’s that many of the privately owned ones are ex-Swiss Mk.58.
The modifications on them for CMs, Mavericks etc. were while they were in Swiss service

According to Smin they aren’t being planned due to the issues of some having their armaments removed entirely for training equipment.

No, it does not. It still runs on the original spiral antennas, which with 69A are capable of discriminating elevation differences. The marketed limit of that is +/-30dg from horizontal, though that’s explicitly for elevation discrimination. Beyond 30dg horizontal it has diminished AOA filtering bringing its accuracy down from ~0.5dg to >3dg, but that depends entirely on the band of the emitter.

So down to small technicalities it is able to detect signals from outside of its limits, but that reduces the inputs made to its ARAD memory pool. Most that is lost is the ability to log the estimated altitude of signal sources.
