F-16 Fighting Falcon: History, Performance & Discussion

@joshje100 can you take a pic of the radar screen mfd? Would like to report missing nctr on the mfd screen for the new 16c

I don’t have the 16c on dev to test

There you go.

New built and support conformal fuel tanks (CFTs) ?

Unlike the RTAF F-16AM/BM eMLU ?

F-16C Plus for china tech tree (folder with F-16A Block 20 MLU or standalone aircraft) ?

PAF F-16C Block 52+ armament like F-16AM/BM MLU ?

I don’t know mid 90’s or the early iraq war configuration

The early 90’s (post gulf war) or The Combat Upgrade Plan Integration Details (CUPID) configuration ?

  1. Correct, I meant the newly built ones not Block 20 upgraded to 70-ish standard.

  2. They’re both MLU and STAR is structural repairs basically but I’d like both nations to get at least 1 of their 16’s in game. I thought the likelihood of us getting the AM for Thailand was low so I mentioned this instead :(

We could get the Block 25 for Indonesia instead which I just remembered they got but unfortunately I don’t think we’ll see AM’s for both nations.

  1. I expect the last missing line for China to be all Pakistan/Bangladesh at this point so it would go in that line. Less capable than the Block 70/72 that would be in the Taiwan line but different enough due to weapons to justify it being added standalone. Same with the Paki AM but it would be more capable than the Block 20 we already have to add more variety and options to the Chinese air tree as well as give more options for a full Paki lineup if one desires it. (I’d personally love to see the JF-17 Block 3, J-10CE, aforementioned F-16C, aforementioned F-16AM, Mirage III (Project ROSE), Mirage V (Project ROSE), F-7PG, F-6C (Mid-90’s), K-8/K-8NG, and the Super Mushshak (for the meme) make it to the game for Pakistan’s air forces.

  2. This would be more similar to what we got initially for the Block 50 in game when it was added (and would allow the Block 50 to get at least 120B/C-5/C-7), Litening TGP like we had initially, Aim-120A/B for this one, Paveway (including bunker buster like on the F-117), Mavericks of course, and some other nice munitions. It would be fairly similar to what an AM is and if we ever got proper plane to plane Datalink you could do SEAD in this if you had someone else in another jet to spike the SAM for you as these could carry Shrike/Harm but couldnt target and fire them independently. It would be a rather interesting aircraft and would fill the place of the old Block 50 C model from when it was first introduced.

  3. Probably 90’s but I’d take CUPID as well. It would be foldered with the one above, would have 120A/B. More Limited CAS options than the one above and wouldn’t have TGP’s and would be more Air-to-Air focused. The schemes would be great and it would be a direct upgrade to the ADF with more options for multi-role.

the only “New” F16 that could be of any use would be one with
F110-GE 100 in a block 40 if there even is one the F16XL is probably the best hope

reason i say a block 40 is cause the block 40 has similar TWR to block 50 without all the extra weight giving way better sustained turn rate

Block-40 weighs as much as Block-50 while having worse TWR, its one of the worst F-16 when it comes to dogfight performance.

Block-30 considered to best in that class.

Yeah, the Block 40 would be basically a different BR CAS option with some interesting munitions and stuff similar to what we have/used to have on the Block 50 (+ some new ones) while the Block 30 would be more Air-to-Air focused like the ADF and could be considered an upgrade in that aspect but could do air to ground if needed just like I said

Both the Block 30 and 40 would bridge the gap from the A models to the Block 50 and 52 which are typically considered the quintessential variants of the F-16 (at least in US service)

Belgian F-16AMs spotted at Kleine Brogel with LAU-131 launchers this week

But speculated they are testing the Belgian FZ275 LGR instead of the typical US AGR-20 APKWS-II

Would make sense considering issues with continued US supply, and preferring a European option for investment going forward.

The USA tech tree lack other F-16C (battle rating 13.0 ~ 13.7 if F-16C Blk 50 receive AIM-9X & increase to 14.3) between F-16 early group and F-16C Blk 50

Correction:

First two images were misleading and have been deleted, as they were just proposals.

damn shame it can’t carry more than 4 amraams.

And no 9Ms.

But, at least it can carry x4 AMRAAMs, x2 9Ls, and x6 Mavericks at the same time. So it maybe good at CAS.

Nothing on GBUs, despite having a FLIR pod.

It maybe good at dogfighting though since it’s got a bigger wing but also comes with the 129 engine. And it could supercruise with the 110s due to a bigger inlet, so I assume it’d only be faster with the 129.

this one shows 6 amraams and 2 9ls

All the pictures in the book, and this statement says they were carried conformal to the engine.

I’ll keep looking to see if it can carry more.
