I have the cash to buy and crew the F-15J right now. I understand that the current meta is fighting with ARH, but is this plane still good enough to play as of now?
Does it have ARH missiles?
If No, then no, its not worth it. If it cannot equip ARH missiles it is useless.
If it does, then its an F15, and its fine.

Its good enough. Just remember when you get uptiered you’re on the backfoot. I still climb but I’m cautious, I’m mainly at high altitude to bait Fox 3s .
If you’re planning to get to the 13.7 F-15J, you’re out of options. It’s either the F-16AJ, or the F-15J. While the first is a powerhouse at —critically endangered— ratefights, The F-15J is an aggresively mid aircraft, it doesn’t have anything particularly great going for it like the new fancy avionics or missiles of the 13.7 variant, but doesn’t have huge downsides other than the lack of HMS mode, which is still doable, but forces you to rethink several approaches.
In conclusion, i’d rather pick a currently mid F-15J than a F-16AJ that its main trick is getting fundamentally counterplayed by the ARH meta.

thing is I have the AJ already and I don’t like it at all. it’s so shit i’d rather live in the boonies for a month and work in a goddamn farm. I’m looking for a top tier option and wishing that this plane might be it.
I mean buy the 13.0 F-15J regardless of my POV, it might be a decent grinder all things considered, i just wanted to make things clear that it won’t be a huge gamechanger when compared to the 16AJ.
And the 13.7 F-15J solves most of the annoying issues regarding avionics +ARH missiles at a slight cost in thrust, so go for it, once you notice the improvements, you’ll love it.
