F-15EX Dev Discussion Thread

But it’s not tho I have proven that
Rafale is not the same as IA you know that it’s not even a comparison they’re different

Nuh uh f15ia was added as a proof from gaijin

Would have been true if you just replace the US with Russia

As for us I wouldn’t mind that in exchange of increasing their brs by 0.7 - 1.0

Us already benefited with a lot of money
irl in game however…

Meh, just leave them be or lower them by a step.

Remember, no details are known for F-15IA RWR so it should default to the previous F-15I RWR stats instead of taking from the EPAWSS

If it’s the case sure but gaijin changed how they accept vehicles. that would have been impactful a few updates ago

However to remove f15ex obviously there’s no need for that so I wouldn’t mind it at all

F-15EX needed for aura and hype moments. F-15IA sucks at this because it’s ugly as sin

Is this the best you can come up with to counter my points
As usual no one proved me wrong
I still Stand on my point f15ex was a waste of time and effort for nothing unlike the IA with evidence that’s available in my previous comments

Well the EX provides the natural upgrade to the E and C, while F-15IA only improves upon F-15I and is a sidegrade to the Rafale.

So the EX serves more of a purpose

we all know missile count is all at matters in arb, flight model and avionics are worthless.

higher top speed and rate of climb is useful sure, but the ef2k is already Extremely fast and a very fast climber, ontop of that it has an actual nimble flight model which the f15ex doesnt have, less missiles is very valid and thats that, aim120d and c5 have no real valuable difference ingame, 2 more 9ms is pretty much worthless considering the ex’s close range perfomance, the ef2k gets the strongest radar in the game, which is a MUCH bigger difference than aim120d or a slightly faster top speed and rate of climb.

Sure, and im lebron james

The EX has 40% more thrust than the GE, and while the GE can carry about eight GBU-53s, the EX can carry 20 plus other ordnance. When you actually play them, you notice how they play completely differently. The EX improves on the E just as the IA improves on the I. Israel is a minor nation with relatively few players. For Gaijin as a business, it is far more important to add the EX than the IA since it is better for marketing and selling premiums. If you develop one of them, the other is 99% finished because they are literally copies. Israel mains should be grateful that Gaijin made an exception to the rules to add the IA, and that is coming from someone who is going to get the IA first because I did not complete the U.S. bomber line and already have the F-15I.

The issue is that AESA and PESA radars are identical in the game. Furthermore, the fact that mobile radars have the same frontal RCS value as fixed radars only makes the situation worse.
But to reiterate what you said, nothing justifies the ex having 22 missiles.

it will never not be funny to me how the strongest dead and sead in the game is russian.

they’re not no? ingame the bars and irbis dont have the ability to refresh targets outside the scan of the radar right? also the current vertical scan of pesa radars is much smaller than top tier aesas.

I think the Typhoon is still better for most people because of the radar gimbal and the MAW, which make it very easy to notch missiles. However, the F-15EX/IA is faster by a large margin. I think a good player will probably be able to get more out of the F-15EX/IA, while the Typhoon is generally going to be easier to get good results in. For CAS/NE, the F-15EX/IA is going to be better. Both are going to be good and pretty close in performance.

the ability to datalink from a notch is quite major, especially when getting in a notch is much easier, sure the f15ex will sling the aim120s at higher alt and speed but the ef2k can datalink them whilst defensive which is imo, more important

They can as well. For bars, it’s a smaller than usual region, (±45° iirc in azimuth), so with the mechanical gimbal, you can miss out on targets. Irbis is similar except it’s a regular sized region of ±60° (like some AESA), but because of the insane gimbal limits, it can’t cover the entire azimuth range.
