I keep coming back to this thread, hoping to see someone bringing interesting new info or pictures of the EX carrying new weapons or something, and its always just US mains crying about the fact the best jet in-game isnt going to be even better by getting an extra 4 missiles it doesn’t need and hasn’t been proven to have…
Worst part is this is all people are talking about regarding this update. As many, if not more comments crying about a “missing” 4x AIM-120D’s than in every other dev thread combined ffs

but
anyone claiming that this is anything other than a limit set by balancing concerns is entirely wrong
by the precedent set by additions to the game, F-15EX could be added with 22 AMRAAMs

Hard to find pictures with interesting new weapons since almost everything is already on the F-15E. Only thing would be something like AIM-260, or HACM

we already have that
the nose of this missile very clearly does not match that of AMRAAM as seen on stations other than 1 and 9
but does match that of AIM-260 as seen on superhornet (the only very publicly accepted image of AIM-260)

Nah that’s a training version of AIM-120 I’m like 90% sure.
No one reputable reported on that picture either

nope
the nose geometry very clearly doesnt match
as the missiles on 2 and 8 are the training version of amrram (on a live AMRAAM the forward fins would be between the 2 blue lines that are visible in this image)
and again the nose geometry very closely matches the known shape of AIM-260

12-16 aim 260s would be disgusting
what else do we even know about the 260? i assume its a dual pulse but ive never seen that confirmed
