It isn’t apart of the default loadouts for the US F-15EX so I assume it’s the same thing for the IA.
the funny thing is the su-30SM2 we have in game is already basically a Su-35 it has the same engines and the same radar on a lighter platform not heavier, so they can pretty much only get a better rwr and maws uness the devs want to give them the R77m so it has an advantage
Yeah if they don’t give it to the IA that would be dumb. they haven’t had the reason to procure MREML yet so to exclude them for something they don’t have a use for yet is stupid.
its honestly same shit diff toilet, same engines, same radar, same weapons, but it has maws and may be a little more maneuverable at higher speed, but worse at lower speed due to no canards
UK got it too, and AGM-88G still isn’t as good as the Kh-31 kinematically
Gripen E, F-15I?
Developers decide to withhold MAWS on EX & IA for balance, methinks.
yeah I remember that being part of the discourse from both sides that if they add it like they did with all the optimal parts they tested it would make the su-35 irrelevant hopefully they give it a good missile maybe the r-73 it wouldn’t be game breaking after things like the aim9 fixes.
I don’t think MAW would make it that much OP, was MAW for F-15EX also denied now?
Seems like a strange choice, when just giving it to both would be the logical course of action
I think they did it for a mix of balance and more likely based on at least from my understanding the eFT’s maw being incorrect they might just be running into issues implementing it.
i think balance isnt really a valid reason honestly, having maws will be a huge advantage when next gen ir missiles are added, which will likely be next patch, its not like maws makes the planes broken or anything, just more aware of their surroundings
I don’t know if it’d be for balance, my personal guess would be for parity. Maybe they’re waiting for confirmation of MAWS on the F-15EX or the contract I’ve heard abt.
It’s also commonplace at top tier, on basically all the chinese jets, all the good eurocanards, and a handful of other examples like Mig-35
Reading comprehension not a strong point huh?
I never said they were kinematically superior to Kh-31’s, I said it was a “BLUFOR equivalent to pre-nerf REDFOR SEAD capability”, which it is, seeing as it allows BLUFOR to reliably kill long range GBAD sites from well outside their range, a capability REDFOR used to be the only ones to have until radar shutoff was added to gimp that and have long range AA actually stay alive longer than 5-10min
and most 15.0 planes will have it once the su35 is added, so thatll be the j16, su35, rafale, and ef2k iirc
yea exactly, itll be standard to have maws very soon
while I agree partially the fact its procured for the IA version and is on the early US ones should be more than enough reason to show the advanced eagles are technically capable of using it and simply would just have to procure the sensors at least for the EX as the IA is most definitely getting the MAW’s on all variants.
I’m saying it wasn’t an equivalent to pre-nerf REDFOR SEAD
its kinda the same as how they added dircm to every ah64e, only the american ones used it afaik? but they said “technical compatibility” so everyone got it
“technically if it works, we can add it” basically
