not that great for CAS, unlike the F-15IA
F-15I exist.
there is no excuse to it
I am not, sniper is good at very very long range
But its fov and aim speed is horrible at close and medium ranges
You’re aware that zoom… is variable right, like you can set it to your scroll wheel and manually go from low zoom → mid zoom → max zoom in any targeting pod or heli optic right.
Unlike the fixed IR sights found on stuff like the LS6 IR, these TGPs are wxtremely user friendly provided you have basic keybinds setup.
Furthermore this isn’t a reason for LITENING not to get added to the IA
The min zoom on the sniper ATP is higher than some TGP’s maximum zoom, you cant overcome such with control settings.
The F-15EX should be labeled as a fighter and placed below the Golden Eagle.
It was intended to replace the F-15C/D fleet.
Its primary identity is an air superiority fighter.
Its placement after the F-15C Golden Eagle would be more intuitive.
Its strike capabilities shouldn’t automatically dictate its tech-tree classification.
Maybe.
Disagreed. I think the F-15EX is fine where it is, after all, as it is derived from the F-15E airframe and retains the F-15E’s strike capabilities as part of the next-generation F-15 Advanced multirole fighter family optimized for air superiority missions. Its placement makes perfect sense to me.
just say you didnt grind the strike line bruh, anyone with a brain knew the ex was 99% likely to go after the e, you had so much time to grind that line, like cmon now lol
its an evolution of the F15E,
that is true but it was developed to modernize and replace the F-15C/D air superiority fleet.
I do agree that its strike capabilities are a bit too strong for an aircraft labeled as a fighter, but I should also add that a lot of other fighter aircraft have strong air to ground armaments like the F/A-18E.
My main point is that It would be a lot more cohesive to put it after the F-15C due to the reason it was developed while also making more sense from a gameplay perspective since it provides a natural progression from the Golden Eagle into a more capable air superiority fighter. I do partially agree with the placement due to its ancestry, but I still feel like its role as an aircraft matters more.
And parts of the F-15E fleet as well so this is not a argument.
Ditto to this, its not, its a successor to the F-15E and has always been marketed as such.
Its also a natural progression from the F-15E just like the F-15C MISP to the F-15GE or did you forget that the F-15E is also a capable fighter?
No
Originally the USAF debated about a single seat fighter variant of the advanced eagle airframe known as the F-15CX to replace the legacy fleet
They chose not to because of budget and figured the EX was “good enough” despite being a strike fighter
So no i dont think it should go under the F-15GE line as it makes no sense to be there as a successor to the F-15E
It’s still based on the F-15E, its a multirole strike aircraft, not just a fighter like the f15c, also if nothing went after the f15e then that line would be empty for eternity, id much rather every single line has a top tier vehicle, looks much better
if they really wanted to they could add an AESA F-15E inbetween just to make the grind more painful
i think they denied any f15e rmp ever coming to the game thankfully, because nobody wants it
Up until the teaser released i was dreading the idea that gaijin might do the F-15E RMP instead of the overdue EX would suck so much if they did that
the ex was already very overdue
yea i woulda been heated, but fortunately they didnt do that
youre chilling tho bc the f22 is prob coming next patch, and thatll be right after the f15c, so if you havent finished the strike line its not the end of the world
I dont really mind that its a strike aircraft because I cant get it atm, its more just because it doesnt make that much sense. The F-15C to the F-15EX would make sense due to them both being mainly air superiority fighters. they can both strike ground targets but that isn’t their main job. (edit) Now I do also understand why it is after it because of heritage reasons. I feel like either solution has a problem, if its after the F-15E then it wouldnt make sense since its an air superiority fighter, if its after the F-15C then it wouldnt make sense since its an evolution of the F-15E.
