In fact I actually significantly prefer flying my flankers and just normal light fighters (m2k especially) to eurocanards due to their botched addition
You’ll find me playing the rafale for example signifigantly more when stealth is added and I can sling MICA IRs at people
so you like eurocanards more and just want to hamstring the F-15’s and Su-30’s while getting massive buffs for the eurocanards so you can go largely unopposed in them

I want air rb (or NE) to expand alongside their technology before i can really say I enjoy playing them, currently theyre very handholdy and strong but that’s not what I like about them irl (being very tech heavy and advanced fighters), so until we see more fleshed out EW and ESM capabilites alongside stuff like the SCALP for NE, idrc whether they are meta dominating or not, because I do not personally get anything out of them being ‘the strongest choice’
If you wanted to apply this argument anywhere that it would actually be true, it would be for the M2k since that (for me personally and how I play it) would benefit the most from a reduced Fox 3 count meta.
But deep down I want missiles to be harder to dodge and Air rb to take longer for everything because it makes the mode more engaging and fun
with EW, even if you got stronger seekers it still might end up easier than it is now. especially with towed decoys, expendable decoys, MALD, etc.
Well if you read the rest of my statement, so be it, I just want as much tech modelled as possible since that’s what I enjoy about modern air combat
What I do not like is the vietnam war era defensive measures we have for top tier, gaijin has forced aircraft to evolve without any semblance of ECM or EW and as such have created their own form of air combat essentially

this is half true, what people do in war thunder in reaction to a missile shot isnt too far off reality
gaijin just has to deal with the fact that in reality, everything has a hard counter. long range sam sites can be destroyed 100% of the time by staying low and planning ahead, missiles cannot be intercepted by typical short range SAMS and small caliber missiles cannot be intercepted by long range sams either, due to the size of the munition and the speed and agility.

Yes, notching/cranking/terrain masking came from irl and DCS applications, but still, the lack of modern defensive jamming disadvantages everyone and forces combat to be fairly close range considering how we’ve seen modern a2a kills occur in recent history (Rafale shootdown over india, which is rumored to be what, a 200km shot), which was done with PL-15E, but we’re approaching those missiles being added regardless

How reduced is the rcs compared to the typhoon
5th gens, as they’ll pose as a massive ‘shake up’ to whatever meta we have at the time
ECCM exists for that, and most modern fox-3s have it to a good extent

theyre pretty similar, but the rafale is physically smaller while implementing the same RCS reducing design techniques, so could very well end up getting a smaller RCS depending on how gaijin models it in game

Probably will, but it won’t matter much since it isn’t that big of a difference and will be completely negated by any missile load that isn’t unusably small

Incorrect. The F-22 was only ever denied for 2026, not 5th gens overall, and it was never stated that the F-22 would come this year.
Adding the F-35 makes the most sense for 5th gens anyway. It will generate the most hype across the playerbase overall, which tracks more reasonably for a Christmas update. US mains are getting their hype update with this one, and it’d make no sense to add an US-exclusive top of the line aircraft so close to the addition of this one.

J-35? Is that much really known about it, it’s extremely new
