Reported the incorrect CMs
[DEV] F-15EX, F-15E, F-15IA, F-15I incorrect CM implementation // Gaijin.net // Issues
due to the AMRAAM’s ability to lock targets in a relatively large area (as seen in game by locking your teammates who are halfway across your screen to the enemy you launch at) I don’t think the slow update rate would be an issue.
Yes, just would prove difficult to fire on merge groups.
I belive it can
given that ASRAAM is supposed to be used in BVR/near BVR without any datalink, I would assume an update every ~10s would be enough to get an AMRAAM close to the target, as long as its not maneuvering
The problem would come from groups that are merged in the AWACS picture but not your own. It would prove unreliable for engagement.
Proof of this?
You’re the one making the claim that it can employ them on the wing stations when there is no evidence of it. The reports are restricted and I do not have them, only word of mouth from people who have seen them. It takes a very simple understanding of aerodynamics to understand the problem. You can also just, you know, find an F-15E crew and ask them too. They’re not hard to find.
We’ve both seen the pictures and read the official statements.
BRU-61 is made to deal with aerodynamic issues by ejecting the munition, and SDB is capable of supersonic launch so I don’t see the issue.
But I have to believe you and your “trust me bro” stuff. Gaijin doesn’t even accept crew statements anyways
No. Jettison of the BRU-61 itself causes the tail strike, not the SDB. As I’ve already stated in this thread.

Written by an F-15E WSO for DCS. As I said, they’re not hard to find.
Hmm so there are no compatibility, mounting, or wiring issues. And afaik jettison limitations aren’t even modeled so it wouldn’t matter
It’s not cleared for usage due to issues when employing it in combat usage. That were tested.
that source is just as bad if not worse, especially coming from a freaking discord server
lolwut? It’s an FAQ written by an F-15E WSO for a simulator module. Do you think that DCS larps SIPR too?
I know aircraft crew are relative experts on their aircraft, but you also have to consider that this is not an official document, and the person may just be citing what they were allowed to do with their specific aircraft instead of official reports of what is and isn’t possible with all of that type of aircraft.
and also is gaijin just supposed to take your word that the person is even a real WSO? that they actually know what they are talking about? or even if they can be fully verified, that they aren’t just making stuff up? these reasons are why gaijin does not accept these kind of sources.
I am perfectly aware of that. Which is why that same discord has multiple mudhen crew who all say the same thing.
LOL, you’ve COMPLETELY missed the point. The point is that there is ZERO proof that the certification of the BRU-61 on those stations was ever successfully completed, except for a single statement made by a junior officer in public affairs whilst certification and integration was still ongoing - which isn’t even remotely credible. Gaijin do not need to take my word for it at all, because I am not claiming anything contrary to the status quo of the game.
Frankly, I don’t care if you want to believe me or not either. I’ve gone over this plenty of times, it’s a clear problem that anybody who takes more than 3 seconds to contemplate the geometry of those stations, the racks and the horizontal stabilizer of the F-15E can very much validate with common sense. At this point you’re taking yourself around in circles in a daze of hopium.
Biggest joke here is thinking a real F-15E WSO knows shit about the plane
Every Pilot/WSO ive ever talked to about that kind of stuff just goes ‘iunno, thats the ground crew’s job’
Sure thing, dude. Believe what you like. Hell of a lot more reliable than some junior in PA.
With half the proposed missile count, says more about you than the jet atp
it’s not functional yet either. IRST21 Pod Not Functional @Nostalgistic
F-15EX has:
- Higher top speed
- Faster rate of climb
- 4 more ARH
- AIM-120D vs. C5
- 2 more 9M’s
Only saving grace is the radar gimble on the EF2K(UK) because it will be able to track and shoot back.
The option to do this would actually be really cool for F-15Es in game since that allows them to load both countermeasure bins and have the targeting pod rather than one countermeasure bin and targeting pod
