F-15E using F100-PW-220s for "Balance" while F-15I has 229s at the same BR

Here is a video with comparisons if you want them https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xnWsna96Sc&t=1s

A video about acceleration times doesn’t equate to an fighter already going faster than you at varying alts. His video shows both F-15E and I can go mach 1.5 at 5000.

Didn’t even watch the video and you’re already commenting on it

Also side note but I’ve checked your stats out of curiosity and you haven’t used a single plane with advanced fox 3s, you’ve only used the F-14. I’m speaking from experience with shooting missiles in rear aspect (mainly fox 3s) and you’re discrediting what I’m saying when you have no experience yourself?

Also he isn’t testing the max speed of the planes, he’s testing the acceleration, and you can see the drastic differences if you just watch the video instead of skimming through it

I dont know why this is even an argument. The F15Is higher thrust to weight directly translates to energy retention and acceleration. top speed is practically irrelevant in a match due to the fact that even if you can out run them, you will never be able to turn around to shoot back.

In a fight where both aircraft start at equal energy, the one with better retention/acceleration wins every time. You cant expect something that loses tons of speed and is super heavy to be able to launch, crank, notch, launch, crank, notch etc etc etc without falling behind very quickly.

The I has that combination of being fast enough and also having the retention. It is just better hands down

r77 is easier than an aim7f to outrun idk what youre on about

Thats my whole point.
I am just working on some things to put in here showing another jet out running an R-77.

I already tested the max speed of the 15E and the 15I around 3.5km alt

The point what he said is on NEZ,
F-15I can evade with only energy run on cold bearing, while F-15E with F100-PW-220 couldn’t on the same condition.

He said no other jet can out run an R-77 launched 4km away at 3km alt.

He also said He believes the F-15I is capable of 1.8 under 4km alt.

because Ra’am actually can run over mach 1.8 at 4000m~ altitude.

No it can not. 1.7 at 4000m~ alt yes not 1.8. At 3500m~ alt your looking around mach 1.6 to 1.7 (that is also 1.7 while slick)

Hello guys. We wanted to update you regarding the F-15E. The developers plan to upgrade the engines of the F-15E to the PW 229 engines to match the Israeli F-15Is engines. Thanks for your feedback.

Why?

Thank you, actually great to hear

This was only done because the US mains moaned too much

When the Gr1 was added there was backlash over it getting the worse engines and no changes and now because it was the US it goes there way

Will the Tornado Gr1 get the mk103 engines as well as that is a similar ahistorical balancing nerf?

Tornado GR.4 is coming with the Mk 103 engines. This has no relation to the F-15E.
