Yes, the R-77s won’t be able to utilize the long range ability of such a radar. I was going to say it could be OP in a countermeasure heavy dogfight, but the air frame’s energy bleed will be so bad that I don’t think it will be.
I have a feeling that dedicated air superiority fighters with PESA/AESA radars will be the centerpiece of a new update.
Germany is getting the F-18c in december I’m 99% sure so the suffering won’t last much longer

Well the radar is still a lot more advanced than basically all other radars, doesn’t matter if the missile can reach the full range of it
Yes, but I don’t think it will be OP. Unless the R-27EA gets added for some reason. Then it would be OP.
Or if the R-77 got buffed/fixed, that is another situation where it could be OP.

Ok if that’s the case I’m okay with F-15E not having AESA however, the engine has to be added.
