F-15C MSIP II should be able to carry the AIM-120B

Wiki states they have better energy management at long range, but I’ve never seen a source that actually confirms that

only difference between a and b was becoming digital, and ALLEGEDLY people say that that enabled it to improve its lofting algorithms, but theres 0! evidence for this

Nope no changes in Kinematics until C-4, literally nothing changes that can be modelled or would even make the slightest difference. A Vs B is text flavour nothing more.

how does c-1 not have different kinematics? it got smaller fins therefore it would pull worse no?

Could have greater fin AOA and stronger actuators to compensate for reduced fin area. Never going to get more turning performance but C-1 also didn’t gain any weight from a new motor which was fit to C-4+.

There are changes to ECCM and LOGICAL improvements that actually made the US air force push the AIM-120B to quickly replace the AIM-120A and was first delivered in late 1994, with its guidance section being replaced by the WGU-41/B. It featured software in reprogrammable EPROM modules, a new digital processor and other electronics updates. Swedish AIM-120Bs are known as the Robot 99.Fielded in 1994, the WGU-41/B guidance system (used on the AIM-120B medium-range air-to-air missile) was responsible for 16 air-to-air kills across 5 theatres.
The guidance improvements need to MIRROR IN WT WHICH IS SOMETHING WE DONT SEE IS MY POINT.

guidance improvements in what way? just saying “guidance improvement” is not enough for a bug report

Also it’s possible the B doesn’t need buffing but the A needs nerfing slightly if it can be proven that there was a meaningful difference

just wow clap clap clap

currently the aim120a is modeled off britain documents on the b you do know that right? any improvement on the b would just nerf the a.

him and gunjob are probably the only reason why britain is playable lol

Yup… A few others did quite a few reports as well but…

Some pictures of circuit boards is the best you can do? That does nothing to substantiate your claim. The changes are all listed here mate;
of note are “kinematics” and “Lethality” both of which are only improvements on AIM-120C-4+, you’re claiming something that goes against the below timeline from the USAF. You have to substantiate that or you’re just saying random words of little meaning.

here’s performance for aim-120a, likely on sea harrier, courtesy of flame. if you show evidence of aim 120b being better than this ill gladly take my words back

They are the same missiles, why bother

NEZ = Kill Zone against maneuvering target. The 120B has better NEZ due to its electronics and ECCM and better guidance, that’s because unlike the its guidance is fully digital.

Well, flame does have like 4? Reports to buff the Aim-120A/B at the moment
