F-15C Golden Eagle should be able to hold more missiles

Now that we have about 1 week left of the dev server, I would like to highlight the things that were fixed this last week and what we are are still missing from the F-15C Golden Eagle at this point in time:

  • BOL pods [Fully implemented] — However all BOL pods in game have inaccurately low effectiveness.

  • AN/APG-63(V)3 [Unfinished] — It did get its 3D model corrected so it no longer resembles the AN/APG-63(V)2, and it got ESA ACM. However, it is still missing full NCTR (Pending, better report provided by GeneralLee2000) and proper search patterns. At the moment, it is just a copy-pasted AN/APG-63(V)1 but with ESA and AtG modes.

  • Legion IRST [Not currently implemented] — However, it his confirmed to come in a future major update.

  • EPAWSS [Not currently implemented] — I assume this is also in line with MRML pylons, where it can be added if it is needed in the future. There are three possibilities for EPAWSS:
    1.) It doesn’t come
2.) It comes partially (360° RWR coverage)
3.) It comes in full (360° RWR coverage + 120x internal CMs).

  • MRML pylons [Not currently implemented, but being considered] — Gaijin will reconsider adding these after the F-15C GE is added to the live server and player statistics are collected.

  • AMBER racks [Not currently implemented] — Pretty much definitively not coming to the game.

  • F-15C Family Flight Model Rework [Not currently implemented] — There are still no indications that this will be done this patch. Gaijin accepted GeneralLee2000’s bug report a week before the patch was announced, but there has been no word since.

Community Bug Reporting System hoping this will be enough to get the ball rolling, though I think it would have gotten it before live regardless

I pray it gets implemented

I think it was, I just wanna make sure

Not beating the f15 guy allegations

In my humble opinon, this is what we will get:

Live update [It’ll come reasonably or completely finished]:

  • BOL pods.
  • Radar.

Might come in the future [It’s fixed/minor update or within a big update]:

  • EPAWSS.
  • F-15C FM rework.
  • Legion IRST

Pure copium [They’ll likely never deliver for “whatever” reason]:

  • MLMR pylons.
  • AMBER racks.

In conclusion: Still mid.

I don’t understand why they’re so against MLMR pylons from the get go this thing is supposed to compete against typhoon rafale and su30sm 2 of them having a higher missile count and rafale just has the fox3 with the best seeker in the game

Typhoon is already lacking missile count

How many is missing

4x missiles VIA double pylons (which are currently sat in the files) and that translates into an extra 2 AMRAAMs over the current 6x count

6 Amraams → 8 Amraams

do you have a source for the 35 and 45 degree values? i am trying to collect info on it to try to make a bug report.

You forgot the 2 extra amraams that are theoretically possible on the inner wing pylons

And then there is the render of the ‘beast mode’ with 16 meteors

What’s funny is re-fixing the flight model is only needed because of the thrust changes last major update.
The new drag & thrust profile screwed up the STR at lower speeds.

If GeneralLee didn’t make the report I would’ve.

That’s insane, every source (secondary ones) I found before confused them, this really shows that you can’t trust what you read online lol… I did know that the F-15Cs were being retrofitted with AESA, but nowhere did anyone mention that it was under the GE program. That’s insane

i don’t have any documents that state the exact figure but you have the image of the increment upgrades. Which notes a upgrade to the control section in the C-5

you can also source videos of live fire testing as well as any other amraam maneuvering documentation.

here is some stuff that may be helpful like the creator of the pl12 saying the aim120C-5 is a 50G missile (when using dual plane controls) 国产最先进主动雷达空空导弹权威报告——访SD-10空空导弹副总设计师梁晓庚 - 道客巴巴

over the shoulder weapons require a bunch of fin aoa as they dont have much airspeed to try and turn
Raytheon develops over-the-shoulder AMRAAM | News | Flight Global
this image of aim120 ranges, looks russian to me

and finally a offically not acceptable source but still good data. they limit the missile to 30 degrees of aoa, fin AOA and missile AOA are seperate though
http://www.zaretto.com/sites/zaretto.com/files/missile-aerodynamic-data/AIM120C5-Performance-Assessment-rev2.pdf

i would not trust russian charts on amraam data especially since we have british unclassified docs for amraam a/b

also amraam is not the only missile that’s nerfed in fin aoa, other missiles are also underperforming in aoa (cough r-77 cough) and for that we actually have hard data from its patent for its fins
