virtually every top tier aircraft has varying degrees of broken huds. we aint every getting em fixed
F-18 hud is pretty accurate tbh
yeah i noticed that, but now you get into hmd problems and last i played it had pretty awful deadzones
they fixed that it is alot better now
is it? im gonna check that out cause thats one of the biggest issues, yeah its definetly better
The F-15CGE’s radar is currently just a copypasted AN/APG-63(V)1 with ESA modes and AtG modes.
I’m hoping they update it to have full NCTR and better search patterns, but we’ll have to wait and see. Thankfully we have another week of the dev server to do just that.

any idea on the newer radar’s azimuth coverage zones ?. what abt the radar on f15ex ?
Oh yes, a glorified F-15C with a better radar, marginally better ARH at distance and more (yet nerfed) BOL CMs.
I still wouldn’t take it over the F-15E. And I have a hunch the stats will show the F-15E is still the US top dog, even when the F-15E is played both on GRB and ARB.
At least for me it’s an easy choice now, I’ll always take the F-15C GE over the F-15E.
mechanical radars are just too annoying to deal with to bother with if I have a plane with AESA available. The large amount of countermeasures is a nice bonus.
Is the F-15C GE perfect? far from it though.

What’s wrong with it? Also keep in mind this ‘fix’ to the missile will also apply to everything else that carries it, primarily the Eurofighters which are the best platform to use AIM-120s on

BOL countermeasures are useless for the most part ever since they placed it on the Gripen and nerfed them (rightfully so, they were not necessary, however with ARH missiles the nerf should’ve been reverted)
And that’s my point across the board. Adding BOL does not turn it 14.3 material at all. Defensively and on SA it’s 14.3.
T2W, offensively and on groundpounding, it’s still away from being 14.3.
Depends on what you value I guess, the F-15E is getting beaten by the EFT regardless. I might as well fly a plane with a far more enjoyable radar if my flight performance gets beaten anyway.
Yeah I always meant for Air RB. I don’t really do CAS at top tier, I don’t need it. Might be okay for anti-CAS, but the F-16 probably fills that role better.
And so will the F-15C GE… a radar and BOL at the cost of T2W won’t change the outcome of that, if anything, a skilled EF user will exploit even better the lack of energy of the new F-15 and force it into defensive right away… that is just the general outcome of the EF vs F-15 match-up.
CAP has become a secondary if not even a tertiary role in GRB with the new gen of SAM systems right now, so it’s completely useless for GRB purposes. A Hornet would do CAP better while still holding some relevant CAS capabilites.

well really the issues are present across all amraams but there are some more notable ones in the C-5/7. Issues across all of them are energy retention against a maneuvering target, Low fin aoa which reduces HOB performance. All amraams being overweight even just slightly like in the case of the C-5 is 6.5kg heavier than it should be and it increases its time to target by a half second which also affects its HOB performance and time to react and general maneuverability.
C-5 specific stuff is a even lower smoke motor, thrust should stay the same since its calculated off its original 16672N with low smoke propellent, i think non smokeless is 17055N? could be wrong though. and then again with the fin AOA but its expedited on the c-5 since its fin AOA is upto 45 degrees while amraams before then were 35 degrees. FYI ingame max AOA is 26.xxx so yeah amraams just nerfed for some reason

Sadly they haven’t fixed the BOL cm effectiveness, they are not very useful unless you run a macro which i still dont know if it might get you banned or not.

Yes, none of them get.
it’s such a joke that even US AESA radar doesn’t get it.
And it’s disastrous to fly an F-16 against other toptier jets spamming missiles since you get no NCTR at all
Literally just struggling to distinguish between missiles bombs and finally pick up a plane when there is a furball.
Also you can’t afford a missed shot, because you only have 6 missiles in total.
